Just a friendly suggestion from 1 repairman to another.. you may want to leave your work in the view of the camera so people can see what you are doing.
What the f***?The video title stated "changing lightning port",and there's only a meticolous first part envolving all the screws on the mb and no mention of the screws on tha charging port???Well done dude:you're a real TH-cam wizard!!
I did this on my iPhone but after putting it back together, it is now completely dead. The pins on the logic board connector got bent so I am guessing that ruined it.
So my phone got little water in it /on it i cleaned all the white stuff off. It wont turn on should remove motherboard or replace battery or charging port
I replaced the port. Firstly it took about 2-4 minutes to boot up. Once it did the phone was very laggy and when i press the home button its not clicking, rather making a sound from the phones speaker?!?! The speak is very low. Also another issue i had was the main connector (the long flex) wasnt lined up too well with the replacement so i removed it and realigned (a few times) so bit hard to connect the flex but i have managed.. Have i damaged something on the replacement dock as im getting the issues above??
If the home button isn't working check the home button flex cable is plugged in properly. Because when it takes a while to boot up means that the home button is connected properly or damaged. Check to see if the fingerprint I'd works.
@@FixitProz sorry i should have made it clearer. Home button does work. But instead of the clicking/vibrate feedback you get i am getting a sound coming from the speakers instead
When. Put in the new one it stays on the apple logo for a good while and then it finally turns on but it doesn’t charge . When I put the original one back in. The same thing ??? Takes a while to turn on and doesn’t charge
Ok so I have this problem with my iPhone 7 Plus , it charges perfectly fine BUT the 2 microphones next to the charging port won’t work AND the phone doesn’t recognize the iPhone earbuds But the other microphone at the back of the iPhone works perfectly fine , Siri can hear me , I can hear myself when recording videos BUT people can’t hear me when in a call because of the microphone also the speaker button works too If I replace the charging port will this fix my problem?
Yes this should fix your issue. Because when you talk off speaker the phone uses the bottom mic. So if people can hear you and you can hear them with the speaker on changing the charging port should fix it. But before you dismantle the whole phone. Connect just the new charging port to the motherboard to see if it works.
AcE Suda this is the link to the charging port I ordered: MonkeyJack Replacement Parts For Iphone 7 Plus 5.5 Inch Charger Charging Dock Port Connector Audio Headphone Jack Flex Cable - Black www.amazon.com/dp/B074H7YKKK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_qs5oCb2S0KRNJ
I finished the iPhone 7 plus display change ... (Cause the display replacement?) All functions (3D touch, image quality, etc. working perfectly) are equivalent to the original iphone, but the microphone (phone and facebook messenger call or call reception and if there is no headset, it restarts every 30 to 180 seconds) is rebooted, but voice recording is perfect for voice recorder. (But it works normally with headphones.) If you have any idea, what can you do and what you have done, I'd be happy if you could help, Thank you.
Okay so I did this and now my speakers will completely cut out when I turn it up past half way or sometimes one can play at max volume but the other one will have no audio
Look at time 5:20 to 5:30 I am pointing to the flex cable and there are 2 gold pads. Make sure you line up that flex cable on the frame so when you connect the speaker the gold pins on the back of the speaker touch those pads. That is where the power connects to the speaker.
Its always putting the new part in that's tricky. Peel off the old glue around the microphones. It gets in the way. Crease the new part. Put the old part in and out several times to see how it aligns. Line up the two holes on the ribbon with the TWO WHITE DOTS on the case. Install the logic board and test the connector. I had to repeat this 10 times to get it aligned perfectly.
That is why I paint a template with a felt tip marker just above the old charging port "before" removing it. This way it lines up perfectly so you can get it to plug into the motherboard.

@@MBZXZ try only connecting the lcd cable amd not the home button cable or the front camera to see if there is a short somewhere.

What happened if u do change it but it only stays on the apple logo

Most you lose everything before u put in the complete charging flex
I did this and now my loud speaker won't work. Do you have any idea what I could have done wrong for it to not connect to power properly?
Look at time 5:20 to 5:30 I am pointing to the flex cable and there are 2 gold pads. Make sure you line up that flex cable on the frame so when you connect the speaker the gold pins on the back of the speaker touch those pads. That is where the power connects to the speaker.
And make sure you make the proper bends in the new flex cable like the old one. So everything lines up.
