This was a very useful discussion, and the Commerce official sent a very strong signal. Because the world’s economies are so inter-connected nowadays, we must be vigilant and adopt a comprehensive national security strategy that encompasses strengthening alliances, building resilient supply chains and infrastructure, investing in domestic manufacturing, supporting democracy and ethical sourcing abroad, and protecting sensitive technology if we are to remain competitive and free from coercive pressures on our economy and our democracy.
hahaha United Flakes has failed in Afghanistan (to a Taliban that was not supported by ANY national or international player) - while Russia, when it failed in afghanistan, had to face the US/NATO backed so-called "Mujahidin". The contrast is telling- the USA spends trillions on "defense" (and two trilion + in the Afghanistan debacle) and loses to a guerrila force that had no support whatsoever and was essentially "outclassed" in every area except one: dedication to their cause. And recall that Afghanistan adventure of the Soviets was their last hurrah. The Graveyard of Empires (Afghanistan) may have claimed another. The United Flakes is a dead empire that, like the proverbial chicken with its head cut off, is just running around the globe, looking for a place to fall. It looks like the-soon-to-be-demilitarized zone formerly known as "Ukraine" will be that place. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Very good discussion.
