@@dalilam2276 in first area of prison, you first hear brute, then get 2 cinematic encounters with him. first cinematic is when you go pickup hammer, see Brute walk away behind a locked door, second time is trough another door, when touch it, see him walk down the hallway, yet ignoring player once more. In second area of prison, there is only one cinematic encounter with him when you are going down the hallway towards storage for glass jar.
@@danfarmer3019 I assume it was the part when Brute begins to break in the door after you get the vaccine puzzle done? ;) I had that heart attack on first time.

Not really, this one feels like you’re robbing a house, you better be quiet and cautious, while also not being able to use any source of light for your own sake
The prison (both north and south block) was the scariest area in the game for me, even scarier than the storage and the choir! The prison was an absolute maze of halls and dead ends, I had no idea where I was going (I have a terrible sense of direction)
The prison area was so scary D: Especially because there were multiple prisons and it was so dark there just like in storage. Nothing more terrifying than having to solve puzzles while the monsters are lurking around waiting for a chance to ambush you.
@@ValendianCrafts I say Storage, Prison and Choir Main Hall are most scary in the entire game. Though Archives where you get wine cellar key, has very scary ambience as its more making player feel something is about to attack, when in reality there, you get only cinematic encounters with the monsters + hear even Brute's voice (which ya would not know is Brute, till much later in game).
Oh, nice! It's one of the absolute scariest parts in the game! I watched the Prison part at 1 AM because a friend told me to. Afterward, I went to bed with the lights on all night. Not even Silent Hill could scare me that much...
For me the prison is by far the scariest part of the game. While Amnesia is still effectively creepy and unnerving on repeat play throughs, you kind of know what to expect, and so the effect is lessened. But that doesn’t apply to the prison, because it’s dark enough and labyrinthine enough that it’s really hard to remember where things are and where the grunts appear, so each time it’s still just as tense and scary as it was the first time.
it's not. the shadow is an unkown entity and even the guys on alexanders homeworld had to produce special techniques so they won't incur the shadow when using the orbs
@@thatdude_93 You're right, i mistook the shadow for a weapon. But well, if you think about it, the Shadow itself could be considered a "living" massive destruction weapon.
@@EkxhoDark Its basically living nightmare, breaking down all reality, the sacred guardian of the orbs. only Agrippa's student was able to use the orbs without Shadow getting angry, which indicates, you have to truly be worthy for even using them.
The Storage was one thing but when I got to the Prison this game really had my heart racing. So many grunt encounters and witnessing the Brutes was beyond terryfying. Even though they're not harmful here I still knew this was some new type of enemy to face somewhere later on. Brings a lot of memories
@@Cynderfan35 yeah pretty much. At that point I already had read on the wiki and knew what was going to happen but it was still super hard to prepare myself mentally 😅 you already see some disturbing stuff in the morgue so I guess it’s a good buildup for the brute encounter
@@sanderskogen7546 it is perfect build up, specially if don't know that there will be an encounter. more you would expect just more creepy sounds, yet moment the thing happens, gives the heart attack

Being in the prison was probably the scariest part in the game for me. Several hallways, several places where the Grunt could emerge from.
The grunt is scary, but what was scarier was knowing a brute was wandering around in the prison

am curious, how did you react when got the first dangerous encounter with Brute, in the Morgue? I assume had one big heart attack
