Hi you need to take off the defuser off the gun you will get better coverage and even coat , when you prep make sure all the dings are out or use a high temp filler to fill them in
then sand down to smooth finish this will make your undercoat more even so when you do your top coat it will look nice and smooth and to make a really good shine put on a clear coat
