That's the best part about Prince William and Princess Catherine....... they are raising their children to be normal in a home filled with love and teaching them that there are other ways to enjoy life without a huge TV, etc.

@@heatherives8646 indeed. Yes I believe Royal children are also encouraged to be out in all weathers. Our family and those around us put babies outside in prams, even my eldest sister with her children in the 70s. My mum always encouraged us outside - not that I needed any encouragement as back then we had lots of children in the neighbourhood to play with. We would be out from morning and only came in when it was going dark for Tea! Great times

I guess it's not actually the TV itself, but using that as an example that the Wales family don't abuse their status having opulence and whatever and that the children are not spoilt. Many people send in gifts for the children at birthdays and Christmas but the gifts are donated to eg hospitals, those less fortunate, charities etc. The children only have one present each at Christmas. They're taught about those less fortunate at an early age etc

The fact that there were reactions to this shocked me because it tells me a lot about how people live, and it's not a pretty picture. I don't want a huge TV dominating my life. Sheesh. If there is a perfectly working telly, why spend for a new one? Not everyone feels the need to have up-to-the-minute tech. I must say, this thread says a lot more about society than it does about the Wales family.

I grew up with a 13" B&W TV with rabbit ears & tin foil. And you had to get up off your franny when Dad said to change the channel - choice of 6 - And there were 10 of us. And we liked it!

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅. The Wales couple are so cleaver. The children have no phones like ather spoiled brat's. The people have the big TV'S in the bedroom so great for the Wales children to still sit with dad and mommy at a choosy place. God bless the royal family and keep them safe.

Well.there is.no.posibility that a.person like.myself could ever consider living in a place that does not provide the.following: 1.A private garden courtyard 2.Distance from.neighbours to allow.for.musical practise
Any so called palatial.residence without these preconditions to.my.opinion negates the nomenclature of.being.palatial.PFMcDomald

They Still have the flat at Kennington Palace. Their main office is there. The were gifted Adelaide Cottage upon there marriage, they have a house in Scotland I forget the name that William inheired from his Great grandmother, The Queen Mum. They still own the house they purchased in Wales when William worked for the Air Ambulance.
