There’s a reason this guy has gotten a standing ovation every single time he’s returned to Toronto with the Spurs and I imagine he’ll get them as long as he stays in the league.
What about 2000s? I feel that's the Era he fits best in. Considering he was a Multiple time All NBA player in the 2010s, 2000s he could have been a 1st team All NBA some years and while maybe not quite equal, he might get himself in a similar class to Kobe and AI for that decade.

As a Raps fan, I'm grateful his time in Toronto, and I'll never take that for granted. That being said, when it came to the post season, long contested two point shots and the lack effort on the defensive end, made his time in Toronto come to an end. You must adapt to the league.
Those things are true. However let's keep in mind what stood in his way. Lebron James a top 3 player all time. Nobody else got by Lebron in the east. And when Lebron did lose it was to arguably one of the top two teams ever.
I'd argue he's even better. He does it very efficiently mostly because he seems to be balanced almost ALL the time. That's probably the reason everything he does looks effortless. He always makes sure to be balanced even on his spin away pull ups like on 5:22. Kobe takes tough shots, but of course he makes them, that's what makes him different.

Honestly we 've had more success with Demar than teams like the rockets and the Thunder or bucks with their stacked rosters over the past 5 years of DeRozan. No shame in losing to playoff Lebron when he was killing everybody
