As a Raptor fan i remember being 11 years old & hearing that the Raptors drafted this guy who looked kinda like a dinosaur & had the most circular hair line i've ever seen. I had no clue about him & thought he was gonna be another bust or average player, like many people, because the Raptors dont have the greatest track record at the draft. After watching him his first couple seasons it didnt seem like he'd be anything more than a solid starter. But it came to about his 4th season, and Bosh had already left when we all saw DD starting to elevate his game & become such a threat when driving to the basket & such an electrifying dunker like Vince was & like quite a few Raptors fans there was hope that he'd become a star & be the next franchise player after Bosh joined the Heat. Watching his game now compared to 6-7 years ago & seeing his footwork, his mid range dominance, his confidence shooting the ball, his playmaking ability, becoming a better rebounder, and passer and im glad the Raptors drafted him & i'm glad we have Demar. He still needs to work on his defense & his performance in the playoffs but the effort & work ethic is definitely there. But the point is this guy has got here because of His hard work. His style of play is so reminiscent of Kobe its scary & his determination is so mamba like as well. This guy is one of the most determined & loyal dudes in the league. He was a top 3 agent last off season & had every reason to go back home & join the Lakers but instead like 2 or 3 days into Free Agency, without even meeting with other teams, he signed long term with the Raptors & wants to finish what he started. The Raptors most likey wont win shit for the next 5 or so years, let alone make it to the finals but just knowing we got a guy who loves the Raptors, the city & country they play in, and the fans who have been with him since day 1 is enough to be happy. It's been great to see him getting recognition & ppl seeing the transformation of Derozan's game over the years & it'll continue to get better. Over here in Canada, Demar has inpired so many young kids & deservingly became the first Cover athlete for the Canadian version of 2k. When Vince came to Toronto he inspired so many & now that torch was passed to Demar which is so great to see. Overall, Demar is an example of dedication & the trust of a process in order to become great.
Dude, we had Damon Stoudemire, Tracy Murray, Marcus Camby, Chauncey Billups, Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady(at the same time!! My God) then Chris Bosh... that's quite a record alright.. Heck we even had Isaiah Thomas as GM at one point. Idk.. we the north just sux.. like the Leafs.. or Jays.. or Argos lol
+Tbflakes he's not as a consistent shooter as Kobe from anywhere on the field plus he's surprisingly not as good as a slasher as I would have him to be given his elite athleticism
I respect Derozan so much. He didn't want to be known as a dunker, despite being one of the best in the league, and added so many elements to his game. He's so determined and it's been a joy to watch his development. Now people know him for his mid-range game, since Kobe left the league he might be the best now with D-wade. The biggest improvement this year I think is he's reading the defense better...hurt him in the playoffs and now he's doing a much better job recognizing double teams and schemes set up to slow him down.
Hey guys! I normally never do this, but if you want to check out some new music, I have to recommend NobyuS (link below). They have a unique sound and are definitely worth taking the time to give a listen to. soundcloud.com/nobyus
Ya it's unreal. Like that Euro Step around Kemba Walker about halfway through, Had like a foot of room, Kemba thought he was gonna take a charge, DeMar little speed change around him and up and in and Kemba is like What the Fuck just happened?
Nano Alfonso, There ya go.. Everyone mentioning Kobe, and I can see that with his turn around jumpers and fade-aways.. But the way he drives and finishes in traffic looks just like Ginobili. Not to mention his wicked eurostep.. Dudes gonna thrive in SA.
Respectfully, sir, I still come back to these videos. Thank you for taking the time to find these moments to back up the hype behind a player's name (you must look through a ton of footage). I'll just search your name and a player's name to see if you did a video on them. You're doing the WNBA credit/honor too. Someday, when you put this part of your career behind you, these kinds of videos will be missed. Such and such isn't overrated after all! It's priceless
Wow, you can definitely see he's been taking down notes from Black Mamba. I have never ever noticed this part of his game, for sure will be looking more at DeMar.
Loved your video from 1:20 to 5:08. Went just a little overboard with the Euro step samples. I will be using the time I stated to help my son with his footwork. Thank you.
micha caldwell much appreciated. I normally like to frontload my videos because not everyone will actually watch a video through, but I always feel I'm disappointing people if it's anything under 7 minutes, so I just sort of lay things that fit on. That being said, thanks for the feedback!
he just need to chill out with the brickshot when hes being pressed need to look out for his teammate in those instance. he seem to understand that more this year, due to Coach Casey benching him in many occasion this season when he would jacking shot like he did last year in the playoff. He's great nonetheless
After this post season, I'd give it to Klay, but beforehand I would have said Demar. Not Jimmy though, the guy is great on D but disappears on O sometimes. Also DD didn't choke this post season he put the team on his back.
+Red Hot DeMar is much better than Butler. Butler was the number 1 option on one of the worst collapses down the stretch in the last decade or more by the Bulls this year. As for Klay Thompson, the difference is DeMar is a True 2 guard or SG. Klay is more of a positionless floater. Go watch the great 2 guards in NBA history and you will see Demars game. Not taking anything away from Klay he is an incredible talent but if DeMar is a true 2 guard then in my opinion Klay isn't.
I know you are trying to say it's MJ's footwork, but there is a time gap between MJ and Derozan. Kobe on the other hand played with MJ and he inherited MJ's footwork. Thats why succession-wise, it's more appropriate to say Derozan pick up "Kobe's footwork".
you could make like a throwback montage..For instance:Michael Jordan Phenomenal Finisher,Dennis Rodman Tenacious Rebounder.Lot of people would like to see that. :) P.S Great stuff as always keep 'em coming
+Nemanja King I could. You don't understand, more than anything I'd love to do a Gary Payton lockdown video, or a Rodman rebounding and/or lockdown video, but as I keep telling people, the footage is difficult to find and put together (in high quality anyway, and it becomes a formatting issue). If that ever changes, you can bet that I will make a video.
+Nemanja King All the ones where I don't sit through full games, I leave where I got them from (so for this video, you'll see a lot of Dawk Ins and GD's Latest Highlights).
+trefies I'd LOVE to, but the footage is harder to find (especially when dealing with formatting issues). I always tell people who ask, if the footage does ever become available, you know I'm on it. I LOVE Nash, BDiddy & T-Mac. Gilbert was fun too.
He had a problem of using the euro step far too often. It really became an issue in the 2018 playoffs against the Cavs because he did it every single time he attacked the paint and it just became too predictable
Actually I used to love DeMar on the raptors even tho ima bulls fan. An I remember he used to take a lot of tough floaters and awkward euro steps,on his drives, now u can tell he’s way smarter when it comes to decision making during the game
+8USMNT17 if reddick were more willing to shoot instead of hold on to his shooting percentage he could compete. The raptors have the 2nd best back court cuz they leave it all on the court. They play for keeps not for stats, that shit comes later.
perfect the details, get rid of the fanciness, get yourself closer to the hoop and you make yourself elite in a different way. Demar derozan is not an elite shooter. And this isnt some white dude being like omg a smart black player, not to be an asshole. (Im 22 years old black/puerto rican) But as a serious fan you can tell when a player puts in work at the little things, studies the best way to do things. Learns from the greats. love it.
Hes buttery smooth but still an amazing dunker. Love his game so much.
I want him on the Spurs
Adolfo Castillo u got your wish
lol
Lmao that shit came true
Wtf damn you got your wish
LMAO😂

Aand they traded him, too bad
Raptors always draft dinosaurs, look at Bosh
Dude is straight out of the mid 2000s lol
Straight out of Compton
WORD
Exactly lol. Which is why he will never win. No 3pt shot and bad mid range shot selection...plays very similar to Kobe, but he don't have shaq/gasol.
+Tbflakes still have j.v who is very underrated
+Tbflakes he's not as a consistent shooter as Kobe from anywhere on the field plus he's surprisingly not as good as a slasher as I would have him to be given his elite athleticism

raptor jerseys are some fucking heatttttt
Everything about the Raptors is lit
+The Dream Merchant facts
this man's footwork is beautiful to watch
his style looks like kobe mixed with dwyane
That half spin-fake and fade shot is unguardable🔥
Hey guys! I normally never do this, but if you want to check out some new music, I have to recommend NobyuS (link below). They have a unique sound and are definitely worth taking the time to give a listen to.
soundcloud.com/nobyus
+Evin Gualberto You're the real MVP for these videos fam keep it up.
+RondoStyle9 You're the real MVP for this comment fam keep it up.
he's just so patient........ just like kobe
...He definitely studied Kobe
he been said that
Hes a fan of Mamba so yeah he dis
Dry Ice then by extension derozan studied Jordan
He trained with Kobe growing up in LA
I like how when he euro steps he slows down and that throws his opponents off.
Ya it's unreal. Like that Euro Step around Kemba Walker about halfway through, Had like a foot of room, Kemba thought he was gonna take a charge, DeMar little speed change around him and up and in and Kemba is like What the Fuck just happened?
and is nicer on the body, very important if you want to be doing these elite moves continuously
Demar Derozan --- the master of euro steps
MinusEloso No it's james harden bitch
xXUncleClutchXx relax bitch
Your probably like a 10 yr old kid who doesn't no when to stfu
Ginobli?
Best SG in the league. Pure handwork and passion
He would be top 10 players in the league if he added that 3 point shot we've all been waiting for! 👌🏾🔥
Gencci Mane he's got it now
Seems like he studied Kobe, Wade and Manu
Nano Alfonso, There ya go.. Everyone mentioning Kobe, and I can see that with his turn around jumpers and fade-aways.. But the way he drives and finishes in traffic looks just like Ginobili. Not to mention his wicked eurostep.. Dudes gonna thrive in SA.
thats just poetry in motion..
great video man. I love seeing demars repertoire at full display

Wow, you can definitely see he's been taking down notes from Black Mamba. I have never ever noticed this part of his game, for sure will be looking more at DeMar.
Beautiful footwork and turnaround Js...these are the most fun shots to attempt imo
Loved your video from 1:20 to 5:08. Went just a little overboard with the Euro step samples. I will be using the time I stated to help my son with his footwork. Thank you.

5:06 that scream tho
😂
Its taken him a long time to get to this level, glad to see hes finally the player toronto wanted him to be
I wish demar derozan will be the 2016 mvp
same
yeah!
Right now he looks like hes gonna win mvp this season
and then westbrook striked
So this is what KD is talking about
What did he say?
@@versatillion15 one year DeRozan was torching the league the first half of the season. KD said he has some of the best footwork he's seen
That shake at 4:32 is heavenly.
Been following his game since high school been a savage. Just more polished now he use to treat them kids so bad in high school.
Every year since he's been in the league you see more of his favorite player in him !! #BlackMamba
The Euro step. Can't wait to see Ginobli and DeRozan on the floor playing together.
PaPaNiNo GarGAr retired 💔
Wow never really payed attention to this part of his game
+Zobi Hussaini It's pretty much the entire foundation of his offense lol
Yeah he's a very smooth scorer. He's already a great player, i can only imagine if he had some 3 pt range.
he's most underrated player in the league
+Prakhar Karulkar Damian lillard
?
Nick 1 lillard too
dude thanks for making this one
phenomenal footwork is rightly said
Great content as always
Amazing DeROZAN one of the best if not the best footwork eurostep likea robot
he just need to chill out with the brickshot when hes being pressed need to look out for his teammate in those instance. he seem to understand that more this year, due to Coach Casey benching him in many occasion this season when he would jacking shot like he did last year in the playoff. He's great nonetheless
+Eye Dun You are a fuckin idiot. He averages 4 assists a game you dumbfuck
My game is based on Kobe
+raj mataj Poor man's Kobe is still pretty good, just like poor man's Jordan was pretty good.
I feel he has elements of a tall D wade as well
+raj mataj Kobe right now is a poor man's kobe. Demar's game is still evolving.
derozan's drives to the rim remind me of Dwade. that fake turn-around fadeaway is pure vintage dwade
Excited to see him play for the Spurs and if anyone can help him get out of his playoff woes it'd be Popovich
Derozan is so god damn underrated
That last one was a killer
next year, he's going to have a 3 point shot and it's going to be tough to cover him
+SrustinLim yep every month he adds something new. Right now its the Harden drive, stick the ball out and go.
SrustinLim you fucking guessed it he went 3-6 against the jazz
lol u called it
Best SG in the league!
Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler ?! Oh and btw DeFrozan choked during PO
After this post season, I'd give it to Klay, but beforehand I would have said Demar. Not Jimmy though, the guy is great on D but disappears on O sometimes. Also DD didn't choke this post season he put the team on his back.

+Ko Zis so did the Warriors and the Bulls didn't even make the playoffs
Aidrus did James Harden dead
This guy has every move in the book! Amazing
The way how he slides in between two defenders is crazy.
0:06 who knew these 2 would be on the same team...
Definitely underrated.
degoat, he will carry us to the promise land
he will!
Only if Lowry could teach him how to shoot 3s he will be a beasr
+Arshdeep Singh beast*
+Arshdeep Singh He's added the 3 ball to his game whats next...
He’s on the spurs now yall rip
There's a LOT of Kobe in this guy it's crazy. If he keeps up the work, he might be up there in a few seasons as well.
5:06 beautiful
Demar for mvp this year I'm calling it. He's on a mission in San Antonio
Nice call
Those drives earned him a 139 million contract
this is like artwork
Man, I miss him.
DeRozan plays old school ball just shoots 2 and he averaged 23 a game if he adds a 3 to his game night night nba hes gonna be a MVP caliber player.
0:45 LOL LOOK AT THE SCORE😭😂😂ITS THE SACRAMENTO KING FFS💀💀
Nice video!
I’m here after he scored 38 pts in bulls against lakers.
Subscribed!!!
The guy makes so many tough shots.
He shoots like kobe!
Stefan Olandesca indeed
Incredible video ! Please do a jimmy butler one next!!
Doesn't have crazy speed, but makes up for it with fundamentals.
If he had a consistent 3 point shot, he'd be top 5 imo
Maybe it is time for an update with higher quality videos and new highlights from the Spurs.
Glad there is someone to pick up Kobe's footwork.
I know you are trying to say it's MJ's footwork, but there is a time gap between MJ and Derozan. Kobe on the other hand played with MJ and he inherited MJ's footwork. Thats why succession-wise, it's more appropriate to say Derozan pick up "Kobe's footwork".

+Evin Gualberto yuup, totally understand you my man.But where do you get this footage from?
+Evin Gualberto Check the "Al Groz" and "Alex GR" channel, he has a lot of full trowback games. And btw i really like your videos theyre great
+Nemanja King All the ones where I don't sit through full games, I leave where I got them from (so for this video, you'll see a lot of Dawk Ins and GD's Latest Highlights).
4:34 omg look smack like kobe!!!!!!!!!
Can you do an updated version of DeRozan bro?!
Could you do Andre Roberson thunder cuts to the hoop? It looks like he always gets such easy ally oops every game.
yeah seems like hes invisible sometimes and just appears out of nowhere
Can you make another DeRozan video? Maybe one about his post game? Best post game for a guard in the league
DeMar DeChosen wiggins?
last really reminds me of Kobe who has a similar play against Thunder I remember
He's so good at the Eurostep the defense just freezes
The future kobeeeee
U should do his mid range game
please make a Andrew wiggins lockdown or athletic Freak or something, if not for injuries hes gonna be a Superstar if not legend
This guy will pass the ball when kyrie thinks the earth is round
Nice video, could you do a player from the mid 2000s like a new Nash video or tmac, Gilbert arenas, or baron David?
+trefies I'd LOVE to, but the footage is harder to find (especially when dealing with formatting issues). I always tell people who ask, if the footage does ever become available, you know I'm on it. I LOVE Nash, BDiddy & T-Mac. Gilbert was fun too.
1:20 1:50. 2:10. 2:17. 3:59. 4:38. 5:00. 6:54
Can u consider doing a Cj McCollum stepback compilation or a 1 on 1 video .. Easily one of the better scorers in the league
2:09
6:54, best move by far
Well, instead of taking an open 3, he prefers to take a contested midrange J
Thats the things about the euro n side step shit is easy to do but damn that shit kills ur ankles and your knees its too powerful
Smooth
He's Blade now
Ahh and people will remember him only as a soul stone
Dwayne Wade is the GOAT at this
You think Toronto has the 2nd best back court in the league? Maybe the Clippers with how well JJ Redick is playing right now.
You could be right. There aren't that many all star PG/SG duals out there.
+8USMNT17 if reddick were more willing to shoot instead of hold on to his shooting percentage he could compete. The raptors have the 2nd best back court cuz they leave it all on the court. They play for keeps not for stats, that shit comes later.
Can you do porzingis?
so many of these plays are and1's
Do one for Kevin Durants pull-up jumpers
DeMar DeRozan vs Dwyane Wade??
You can tell he watch kobe growing up similar style
perfect the details, get rid of the fanciness, get yourself closer to the hoop and you make yourself elite in a different way. Demar derozan is not an elite shooter. Hes elite at understanding when to give you a pump fake, when to spin left/right shoulder, etc. it shows you how intelligent he is. And this isnt some white dude being like omg a smart black player, not to be an asshole. (Im 22 years old black/puerto rican) But as a serious fan you can tell when a player puts in work at the little things, studies the best way to do things. Learns from the greats. love it.
Can you maybe to Kawhi, LeBron or Aldridge post play?
Solid EURO
GoSpursGo! We get Manu back we’ll be eurostepping teams to death
Demar just needs to work on his mid game...and I'll anoint him as the best SG in the league.
