The best way i was taught to time opponent's attacks and parry is to just watch the opponent's solar plexus. Whatever their solar plexus does tells you whether they are punching, kicking, or whatever before the arm or leg even starts to move. Back in the day, I could spar a brown or black belt and never even get hit, because my reflexes were that good.
If you understand the bunkai for Seisan, you just about don't need anything else in karate. I guess there are some submissions in Wansu and Kusanku which are awesome, but Seisan is going to teach you how to kick the tar out of a Black Belt, and they usually start teaching i to you in Isshinryu karate at blue belt.
@@WadeSmith-oe5xd it has a lot of good clinch stuff. Have you looked at the Shuri-te systems though? They have a LOT of good stuff in them. A lot of judo style throws I love.
@@araberbarbarabarbier3771 I didn’t take it in a negative way. The way you phrased the comment was hilarious and the style of humor my friends used. I just assumed you were someone from my dojo messing with me. But I get your point I’ll try to be less wordy in the future.
