What a beautiful surprise to have come upon this video! On several occasions, I had heard Swami Chidananda speak during the early 1970s in New York. He was on tour and visiting with his brother monk, my guru Swami Satchidananda. I remember him offering some cautionary wisdom at one of his talks that remains with me to this day. He said, "One of the greatest impediments to practice and spiritual realization is the misguided belief that one is already spiritually realized." What I remember most about Swami Chidananda was that however wise he was in speech, he was equally kind, gracious, and humble. To truly appreciate the height of Mt Everest is to sit in awe at its base. Then, by gurus' grace, be lifted up and begin to climb. I fully prostrate today as I did back then to his Holiness Sri Swami Chidananda. Jai shi sat guru maharaj ki, Jai.
I had saved this video in my 'to watch list' earlier and today I got to see it. The video carries wonderful advice for aspirants like myself. Thank you for sharing these. I always enjoy visiting your channel. I may not comment often but I (like many others I am sure) appreciate these gems and your effort in compiling them on this channel. Keep up the good work.
Salutations to you supreme yogi , guiding others into the spiritual path through such divine teachings is your blessing 🙏 eternally indebted.. thank you
i watched this video and it made me so calm and peaceful. I have a guru and i take the divine name given by the guru and it gives me peace, but after watching this video, whenever my mind moves i'll meditate on the holy name with each breadth and will keep telling my brain as vichar to not wander here or there as it only will give temporary happiness of sensual objects. thanks for sharing the video. The goal of each viewer here is not just to listen to these videos but implement in day to day life. then only we will be able to reap the true benefits of the message given here and make some positive improvements in our life.
Forty years since my first aspiration for self realisation, hadn't have any proper idea what to do as my millieu as such, now I'm blessed with these great words from sages. Thank you
Thank u so much for dis information in this video....all videos help n support our lives gives direction to our lives.. But this video has clearly vividly thrown light upon the actual way of our mind how it moves each time towards outwardly externally arranged world n worldly objects...this video beautifully instructs us how one must turn mind inward explaining the short lived happiness mind experiences with outward world n it's objects n once wen we turn our minds inward how we must fix our mind on some divine mantra or self otherwise the wandering mind will again turn outward as it's the very nature of our minds to cling itself to something or a sort...thank u this video largely allowed us to understand our very own nature of our minds without being discouraged or frustrated by our own money mind...thank u thank u so much 🙏
@QUICK-STAR Hello, I'm sorry if my comment appeared to be trying to teach anyone, that was certainly not my intention and I loved the video you presented 🙏🏻 But in early days of my own spiritual development, I had no access to, or even much knowledge of the existence of such teachings, but a keen and natural interest, in the middle of some very serious life difficulty's and traumas, and some practices came to me naturally, which were extremely helpful, and I could not help but to liken them to much of what your video said, though I only spoke up in great humility. 🙋♀️🙏🏻💖💖
@@hannahjones8992 Ms. Hannah, I loved what you wrote . We are here to share our experiences. The supreme Lord is common to all. ""As many are practices, so many are ways(religions)""...is a statement of Sri Ramakrishna. I particularly loved your emphasis on Gratitude, which is so important. When I hear people lament, I always say that the greatest gift we have is a human birth and a healthy living; we must thank the Lord for it. Om Shanti.....peace to all.
This is very helpful and very encouraging. I have not completed the program. But he is saying that if you are led astray far less by the mind and desire, that is progress. Keep up the good work and progress until completion. At least that is how I interpret this message. Thank you very much. It is a very important timely message. I just finished my morning meditation, and found some frustration that after all these years, and all my attempts, perfect detachment still has not been achieved. The mind enjoys inward, but still relies on the outward. Would love to be perfectly content and satisfied abiding in God. Thank you.
Ignore the mind. Don't pay the mind any mind. Instead fix/focus on the feeling and experiencing of the here and now. No thought is ever about this moment as it is happening. Thought is always about what just happened, what might happen, or daydreaming. Be 100% devoted to the experience of now. Just as someone can be so in thought that they bump into a lamp pole because they were unaware, it is possible to be so with what is happening now (deeply aware) that there is no room for thought. You don't need to try to pin down or control the mind...nor do you need to fight and conquer the mind...simply ignore it. When thoughts stop, the mind is pacified and no longer wandering.
Hello Eric. I had a glimpse of my true nature but then there was an experience of Kundalini Awakening where it was stated that it was about Chakras, is it??.. or it is completely about abiding in ourself and ignoring the mind..??.. Please answer this question if possible. I had the clear knowing that only the self existed nothing else and mind is an illusion.
I like this channel. And I guess the reason this American never heard of Swami Chidananda is because he uses too many Indian words when simple English would reach more people.
Speaking for myself and I'm sure many "others" ☺️, you would get many more views if your videos were narrated. People mostly don't have time to watch and read but can listen virtually anytime. Just an idea........ 🙏🙏. Great content though.
