Man,when I see this game in action....I remember an old EGM(Electonic Gaming Monthly) I had.In that year, the TGS(Tokyo Game Show) was displaying this game for the Sega Saturn.Also,SFA2 was gonna roll onto consoles(SNES included).....Those days. I still remember being so naive.Thinking that SNES would be the end all,be all of consoles 'till the end of time.XD Thanks for this longplays,Cubex...from the bottom of my soul.Nice memories with almost every game from your collection.Shoutouts from PR!
Basara was laughing when Haohmaru stabbed him in the gut with his sword. I guess you can say he found pleasure from getting one through the stomach. I take it when Basara died; he died happy going straight to hell HA HA HA HA. As always great videos of Samurai Showdown cubex55, you sure know how to keep people on the edge with this game.
11:30 interesting little sequence. Looks like Nakoruru got caught in the hurricane but it bounced back off her magic coat swing and caught you in the same hurricane. It's like she hit you with your own weapon and then got hit with it anyway. Never seen that before.
Soul Calibur should try to take notes from this game. It should abandon its loud, arcadey music for more ambient, quieter set pieces. It's much more appealing and beautiful. It also allows you to get really into the fight. I always turn the music off in SC games. It should be Bashido Blade.
This arcade is obviously truly found first in Japan. Nobody thats Japanese owns from the creator. He is a very good person and personally trusting. Arcade is only for entertainment. That's about it.
@@Snyperwolf91 Personally I find the 2nd game easier than this game, but Mizuki is harder than anything in this game while funny enough I don't have too much problems with Zankuro compared to most of the opponents here for some reason.
do you know the 12 hit combo? That's what made this game awsome is the inclusion of a high combo engine. In case you did'nt know it's ->joystick the whole time in the direction of the enemy c+d togather to start the combo then pace yourself right away into aaa bbb ccc a b c c c c c till the combo finishes.
I'm with you. I set the game at level 4 (arcade level) or beyond. If I'm going to be beat up at some point (cause this game IS tough), let it be for a good reason. If there's something I particularly like about this game, let alone the fabulous artwork and dynamic pace of the game, is the challenge it entails. Level 1 spoils all the fun, if you know what I mean.
@@dave8986 I agree, I was glad when I was able to beat it on the hardest difficulty for the 1st time over a year ago. It's tough even on Level 4 but still doable, it's just crazy hard! I see what you mean as well.
So there are several things I don't like about this one when compared to the last two. 1) The artwork look rather sketchy. 2) We don't have the referee anymore. 3. Okay fine, he's now a bonus round kind of character, but he transforms into your character, what's point of fighting yourself in another match? 4) Winner doesn't do much of a winning pose I guess. Who knows maybe this is a good thing. Other than its still a good game.

I'd really love to see them make a Samurai Showdown 7. Just for kicks :) with King of Fighters XIII style animation
There IS a Samurai Shodown 7 out for PS4 and Xbox One (although it's simply called Samurai Shodown).
This game is very cool

I love Hattori hanzo because he has a good skill and quickly movement.
I think you showed us the ending TWICE.

Aaawww Rimururu is too cute...
slash is like in wrestling a '' face superstar'' and burst is like a ''heel superstar''.
Kuruko was a pain in the ass,but beatable

Samurai Shodown 2 was the definite apex of the series. 3 and onward were just rushed imitations, IMO
super belle intro rien a dire les artwork hai hai
muy bueno
@slinedawg1990 Galford is in the Bust moveset. When using that moveset, his dog is ausent.
lol i was lafin at the insert a coin thing at the top of the screen.
got any ss5 or ss5 specail playthroughs, or ss6.

What?
The name of this game should be: SS3 - Rage quit...
whys tht its a classic its suppose to be hard.
I think the second one is harder till you met Zankuro ... that buttonreading son of a fuck !
@@Snyperwolf91 Personally I find the 2nd game easier than this game, but Mizuki is harder than anything in this game while funny enough I don't have too much problems with Zankuro compared to most of the opponents here for some reason.
They must be either different costumes or even personalities of characters.
"choice technique"...nice translation.
used to bet my entire allowance vs. friends over this >.>
hair is big
I always liked this version of Rimururu in this game. I never did like how Playmore ended up making her into an airheaded loli later on in the series.
i like the character designs.

That’s in IV
Oh, so it's level 1. Now I get the ass-beating.
Yeah, you want at least Level 4 for this, though I play this game on Level 8, the hardest difficulty.

13:30 Why the hell Basara laughed during his death ?? He is a crazy guy !
This trusting team made the game for fun I guess. IDK anything else though.
19:26 ever notice it says "pranning" lol

galford.and haohmaru arey faves.i have to say intense fight thou

Two Zankuro related questions:
1. Isn't he Shizumaru's father?
2. His stage . . . . is it a Buddhist temple?
Si Y Si
hanzo the best!
sounddesgin and music?
That's what I wanna know too..didn't know being cut in half was funny he must be a masochist(sp?)
We can get chances to travel back in time. To see real ancient Samurai in Japan. Belongs to Japan of course. 😆😆💀💀💀💀💀👹
i meant fire
You need to post another longplay on a very hard level. It looks boring when the computer AI just stands there and takes a beating.
Didn't Anthology come out already?
@DE7ChainedDoor have you played the ps1 version? they may as well call it samurai SLOWdown!
lv1 ,o my god
Level 1 ? Kkkkkk
14:00 3hko lmao gg

er...have you ever heard of arcade video games ?

This game is so unevenly unbalanced this is my least liked Samurai Spirits game I love IV And V
Until Sen came out, I long considered this the worst of the series.
