De-occupied village? Literal fancy-ass Sailboat? Half of an actual metal airplane that can be turned into a base with a single wall and renovations? Nah, we build a cottagecore survivalcore pagancore rangercore treehouse to live in, I’m sure the cannibals won’t mind us cutting down their trees in addition to crashing onto their land :) oh boy I sure do hope they don’t cut down the tree it’s on during a raid, that would be disastrous!
Seriously though, why can’t I have planehouse or houseboat? Why can’t I maximize efficiency for that extra hit of Dopamine!?

Seriously though. They could have had the boat or plane be easy to turn into a base, but are far from resources. Meanwhile building a base can be anywhere, but takes a lot of resources.
