I think it’s crazy that there are no rectangular titanium food container on the market to put in a mini cooler bag. There’s one which I just backed on Kickstarter but they are the only one. As a diabetic hiker i’m always after brining healthy food on my day hikes while keeping pack weight down.

I feel like in terms of design there can definitely be improvements.
    1. The lids should also be designed to double up as plates. So users have another surface for food.
    2. The lids should also click into the bottoms. This is especially helpful for the "cups" just for added stability.
    3. Since the larger bowls are quite secure with the lid, so added perforations to the lids can also allow these bowls to be used to drain pasta, fruit etc
I think the staff has used these more as food containers, which are great, but for its intended purpose, it is for campsites. And the marks of good kitchen camping gear is when it is multifunctional and able to provide the usage of normal kitchen tools, while still out in nature.

Why would you drain pasta from this is beyond me... you boil water and cook pasta in different bowl, and then put it into this to drain it? But i kinda agree with rest.

I'm wondering if it would be adequate if I tossed it in a bag and used it as a doggie bag when I'm dining out. Would it be good for anything besides soup? At least good enough to get home?

Great review! Do you know if you are able to freeze liquid in these containers?

Glad you liked the review, Brian! According to the Seatosummit website, they are dishwasher & microwave save. They don't mention storing in the freezer, however. Thanks for the comment!

Could you tell me the diameter of the extra large?
I own the red one and an x bowl as well - wanted to get a bigger one - searched all over the net for the diameters but no luck which is odd for a manufacturer since they're marketed for outdoors - most people want dimensions for loading their packs.

Hey there! The diameter of the blue bowl is about 7.25 inches (18.5 cm).

@@PackHacker2 hmm, thanks, I can work with that - wanna get one for leftovers when I'm out in the wilds making bush salad (New Zealander, by the way - we use the word "bush" exclusively to refer to any kind of terrain with trees, hahaha).
Was at a cook out, in Macon County, Alabama, once - staying on a cotton farm.
The owners have three daughters. I told them they had really nice bush and I'd like to take a look tomorrow.
So I discovered the word difference in the funniest way possible and luckily didn't get shot in the process, lol.

Hey Dathbrenga! The blue bowl is the of the largest four we have. I believe it's the XL, but it doesn't say the size on it.

@@PackHacker2 Yeah, on Internet, dimensions only show the height when it's compressed - 26mm or something - I have since bit the bullet and ordered the extra large. A previous reply said 18.5cm which is about the diameter of my frying pan.
Guess I'll find out when it arrives, lol.

I always have trouble with my being a dirt magnet. All little kinds of random dust and particles get stuck to it 😕 anyone else have that problem or is it just my mug?

I have the GSI with lids, very similar except they have handles which I like, I also have arthritis and I have no issues opening mine but that might be because I hold on the handles when opening.
