[SHOT 2018] High Threat Concealment's New Belt System and Double Stacked Mag Carriers

- In today's episode, we follow Miles to Shot Show 2018 to the High Threat Concealment booth.
High Threat Concealment offers some great options for concealing mission essential equipment for contractors, military, and government agencies operating in nonpermissive environments. This year HTC brings the Crux belt, a new, thinner, lighter, and stronger version of their battle belt with new laser cut Cordura laminate. Another improvement is a 3 piece stiffener in the battle belt for easier storage. Next, we see the new mag stacker system, designed to offer more ammunition while still maintaining a concealed package. The stacker system is modular to allow for the user to pick from a variety of magazine types depending on their individual needs.
Chase brings us the APS holster line designed for overt carry, specifically a drop leg application. The APS is designed to attach with the current systems such as Gcode, Safariland, Bladetech, and Blackhawk.

$450 really is not that bad of a price. Factor in everything your getting. Good holsters run $75-$100 them selves. A good gun belt $60-$80. Mags holders etc your pretty close to this price

These guys(gun companies/gear makers/etc.) keep making innovative stuff but literally keep charging well past top dollar. For $450.00 you'd expect it to be a ballistic vest.

Damn, Miles. These interviews were fucking excellent. As someone with a background in public speaking and performance, your confidence is apparent, and helps make it all quite enjoyable. Keep it up, dude.
Right now he's operating at 11. He needs to dial his presentation back to around 7. Unless he is afflicted with some sort of neurological disorder, that much body language is unnecessarily distracting for the audience and anyone else with him in front of the camera. Enthusiasm combined with product knowledge is always commendable, but this is a gun belt, not the newest Star Wars toy. And, by the way, I've been on the international technical training circuit for several decades, so I've seen it all, and this isn't enjoyable to watch. It's perfectly acceptable to listen to, however.

Well Yeah $450 seems expensive, but the system is Modular... Ya don't have to spend all that. Got my Gen1 belt & setup cost me $175. Makes a world of difference running in a class with Comfortable/Functional gear.
Lex Green ,modular is the key word. People buy a basic AR and add accessories so this system is actually reasonable!

Inner belt, outer belt, two double pistol pouches, two double rifle pouches, IFAK (complete), pistol holster, all custom made for your exact weapons and setup. Price it out with any other qualtiy gear maker like HSGI and see how far off they are.
I think a lot of people just dont realize how much different things cost, because they spend all their time on the internet, but if they actually bought some gear and used it, they would quickly realize that $450 for an entire battle belt setup, complete, is really really not that bad.

I took it as both builts holster and all. $450 isnt all that bad for those complaining of price.
This will go great with my trauma plate and ballistic shield when I need to get some groceries without attracting too much attention. I’m thinking a Cosby-style sweater is the way to go when it comes to appropriate concealing garment, right? Hell yeah, gonna be operator as f*ck in the produce section!
the era of the padded nylon snap holster is long gone I miss the 90's but not its holsters haha
He says the crux is available but it’s not even on the site. Not to mention they charge extra for the fde color and although it is modular it cost a lot of money and it’s beyond the 450 price point he mentioned.

Really is not a bad price for everything you get. A good holster alone cost $75-$100 and a good belt $60-$80. Plus mag holders, design etc it’s really not a bad price

Blackhawk paddle sucks. Had mine break as soon as I started wearing a good belt. Bad choice on that part. Rest is awesome.
I assume you wear that belt with the buckle in the back? Moving around with your gear digging into your back isn't great. There's a reason a lot of responder belts wont have most stuff not go past your hips
Buckle is in the front. AustriAlpine buckles are minimal, quick release for fast attach/detach.

$62 for 1 kydex mag pouch? That's an unrealistic business plan. Looks like a good product but I don't see them staying in business long unless they get some contract work.
jeremy67A they have a lot of contracts actually. What they make is for private security contractors who wear suits and need to conceal a gun, pistol mags, AR mags, radios, etc under their jackets. Also it’s not kydex, it’s a different kind of plastic that is much stronger than kydex.
Make your own it’s easy parts are everywhere just buy quality “google”.

Eh after using this setup for work (issued to me) it's not very good imo. Uncomfortable to sit down with, had the kydex rifle mag holsters break on me, and only concealment if you wear baggy clothes. Better off piecing a battle belt system yourself with the likes of Ferro, Esstac Kywis, and etc.

for $450 I could get a vest with steel body armor plates and a ballistic helmet give or take and they can stop a bullet on top of carrying a few mags and gun holster.
I did ! Under five with mags & there loaded with live ammo ! Oh , and a Gerber infantry knife!
