  • We bought this specifically for the rainy season to protect us and our things. We've been searching for a tunnel tent that will fit us (3 adults & 2 kids) and all our things inside. We own a Naturehike Village 13 tent and although we've been reading good feedbacks about it, our issue is that it will only protect us. All our kitchen and dining stuff will be left outside. Yes, we do have a canopy but still exposed sya sa elements and bringing them in will be a concern since we use both sides of NHV13 as sleeping areas.
We had several options of tunnel tents but most of what we see is good for 2-4 only or the ventilation is not that good.
This Mobi Garden tent is a trapezoidal tunnel tent. Front, back and all sides can be unfolded into a foyer. Included in our purchase are the main tent, inner tent, 22MM 2 iron poles plus the guy lines/wind ropes and pegs. We bought the rain cover and ground sheet (for the inner tent) separately. In Mobi Garden's Lazada page, you'll see the different ways this tent can be constructed/arranged. Per their claim, it can fit 4-8 persons, probably the 8 can fit if you buy an extra inner tent, or just simply set up the beddings (with a ground sheet) in the dining/open area.
    PROs:
    - There can be several configurations. All sides up or down, or choose which ones lang to open, etc. We love that all 8 sides can actually be opened.
    - You can position the inner tent on either side.
    - High head clearance even in the sides since it is a trapezoidal tent - not semi circle
    - We were really protected from the rain when we closed everything, including our things. With the snow skirt, there are no water that seeped in.
    - On the second night that it rained, we left the two side doors open with lowered poles and only the mesh doors were closed for better ventilation and we remained dry inside. Of course, if the rain is harder or windy, it may not be possible. On our first night we closed the sides.
    - The side skirts/flaps in one end is very helpful, our kitchen stuff remained dry even if they were outside the mesh cover. It also served as protection from the sun (during sunset/sunrise) when cooking.
    - It took us (3 people) only 35 mins to set up even if first time and there are not much available setup videos for reference. I would expect we’ll be faster the next time we use it.
    CONs:
    - You have to purchase the rain fly/ top tent cover and ground sheet for the inner tent separately.
    - When it is raining, you have to fully close the outer tent on the side where the inner tent is attached, otherwise, the inner tent will get wet because of the shape. We do understand that the inner tent is not designed to be waterproof.
    - We understand that this is usual for tunnel/dome tents but the flat straps connecting the opposite sides may be a tripping hazzard.
    - As it has no built in groundsheet, choosing the right spot to pitch the tent is important, unless you'll have a separate groundsheet.
Note: This is not a paid review but just based on our actual experience and sharing for those who are interested with this tent.
