@jimspalmsuk5098 Mine's upstairs in a western window, room temps 21°C 24/7. Moderate growth rate indoors. Based solely on my growing conditions (which of course may be variable from Nonecks) I would estimate your seedling is around 6-9 months old. I still have some ungerninated seeds in the propogator. 2 of 8 popped. Overall, I would say growth rate comparable to an indoor Bismarckia. Hope that helps
@vincenzecalzone8666 Very helpful, I have a bismarkia, I grow from seed 3 years ago and I am impressed with the growth rate. Hopefully the parajubaea will do as well 👍
I got one of those blue jubaeas too. i keep reading how slow they are, how long you reckon it takes until it looks like something more than a strand of grass?😆 wheres the best place to grow these lil seedlings? Obvs under a grow light indoors in winter but come spring/summer can they go out in pots or are they fragile for a few years and best left on a windowsill
@adbates24 I've had a standard jubaea for 5 years from a one leaf seedling . It's now 16 inches tall and a perfect miniature of a larger one. They are slow to start with but do speed up when they start to trunk. I'll be keeping mine indoors overwinter and out side spring, summer and autumn. In a sheltered half sun position. Keeping it well watered when warm 👍
Did you manage to plant your Butyagrus In the garden yet? Or still in the warm house,, only if in garden, interested to see, how it copes,, with its, first winter, in the ground
Also with regards your Pygmy Date palm,, do you only cover it up in November to March time,, and Rest of year left in the open? Only ask because I wanted one but warned it won't survive outdoors here
@garymarshall1246 They are easy to overwinter as houseplants or in a frost free greenhouse. I don't know if it will survive outside, but will find o in spring. I have 3, I got cheap from homebase. Which are in my hothouse just kept dry and frost free.
I've grown a couple of those Cocoides from seed. Fairly easy to germinate. Nice looking palm👍
@vincenzecalzone8666 what sort of growth rate can I expect please?

@@garymarshall1246 I got 2 butyagrus, one planted in the garden and the other still potted in the summerhouse. Will do an update on both mid winter 👍
@jimspalmsuk5098 so one in summer house is last one you bought in April for £299
@garymarshall1246 I got both in April. 2 weeks apart, as I wanted everyone who wanted one to have a chance to own one 👍

I spotted the Parajubaea but not as hardy as other Parajubaea species so held off?
@essexhognose1808 I couldn't resist, I always wanted one, might try it in a garden in about 10 years time 🤣
I've been trying to search for him on ebay and no luck. How is his username spelt?
@ward1compost noneck200, but if you search for rare palm on eBay, mostly his listings come up 👍
@jimspalmsuk5098 Thank you!
