The layout is looking great. I love the component style of build you employ. Nothing is ever wasted this way. Furthermore, the modeling investment is redeemed and revisions are easy. Good stuff. Cheers ~ Boomer.😁
Thanks, yeah, I think that is just how my mind works lol, break things down into small components and then build that way. I deal with numbers and data the rest of my day so I think it bleeds out into my 'art' lol.
@@ianisaacs2340 1373 is as well but it's all tagged up running around LA now. I plan to renumber mine to 1375 and weather it similar to what we see today with 1375. LOL its on my super long to-do list...
I don't know what it is about your layout, but I'm very interested with watching it grow and expand. I do love the bridge and your I-5 area. After the first time watching one of your videos, I actually drove by or should I say under that railroad bridge. Very cool to see where all of the railroad tracks go when driving in LA. It's great being a truck driver and having model railroading as a hobby! I get to see a lot of cool places to model. Like Glenwood Canyon in Colorado, Fort Collins, Colorado railroad street running, Hillsboro, Oregon, also railroad street running, Sparks,Nevada railroad bridge over I-80, the construction of the high speed railroad bridges in Fresno, California and various other places, too many to name. Great work on the streets and I-5 highway. The railroad bridge or I-5 and the street running segment! Can't wait for the next layout update!
That's a great looking interstate scene. I am getting close to working on roads on mine. Your video gave me some good ideas. I'm n scale. I enjoyed watching. Keep em coming! clicked the thumbs up down the line for the algo. Brian
The update looks great, I travel through some of the areas that you model and they are very accurate models of the neighborhoods. Keep up the great work.
The progress of the layout I coming along just nicely! Very much enjoy seeing your layout update videos. Is their a more detailed video on how the center beam cars were weathered? Thank you!
Styrene, except the highway (under the bridge). The highway is hardboard like you would use for a fascia. But all the street running and other streets are painted styrene
Im actually modeling two era's since the location is basically unchanged. The 80s and present day. The 80s is run with SP power. The bus (from the movie Speed) is removable.
Starting to really come together. Some of the areas you are doing I know since I grew up in CA. Been along time though but looking great. Question where did u get your lumber loads wrapped and unwrapped from. I would love to have some like those
Yes I built the bridge and the one column (test column), I still have to build the final columns and do some other work to finish the scene. The bridge and street running are kind of tied together. If you go through the community tab you can see some of the early pictures of the build.
Great 👍 work excellent layout
Son you are blowing it up - This is so awesome.
Excellent progress and modelling. Laurie McLean MMR Australia
Many thanks!

UP 1375 and 1105 are kept a 2 minute drive from my girlfriend’s house in Anaheim. Really cool to see them modeled!!!
Yeah, I think they moved 1105 but 1083 is normally hooked with 1375. I made that one too but haven't put it on a video in awhile.
@@VSLAModelRR you’re right, now I think about it. If I’m being honest I Jones over 1375 being that it’s an ex SP unit

Road scenes are looking great and the center beam flats are nice and grubby...looking forward to the next update
I like the Speed bus
Nice update 👍♐️
Nice layout buddy I love run trains on your when it's done
I don’t remember seeing a cooler Interstate scene! Awesome!

haha awesome. Yeah that area where the bridge and street running are, seems like a real cool little area so I was excited to try and model it!

Incredible.
Layout is looking great! Nice job!
Thanks!

Keep up the great work.
Nice. You don't see street running on layouts too often.
Agreed. Before I glue that stuff down I need to ensure I can clean it reliably. I think that is the biggest issue with street running.
The progress of the layout I coming along just nicely! Very much enjoy seeing your layout update videos. Is their a more detailed video on how the center beam cars were weathered? Thank you!
No, but I have linked Boomer Diorama's video in the description which is exactly what I did.
@@VSLAModelRR Right on! Thank you!
What did you make your streets 🤔 out of
Styrene, except the highway (under the bridge). The highway is hardboard like you would use for a fascia. But all the street running and other streets are painted styrene
Awesome layout... except for the 70s bus on the highway. Doesn't fit the era if you're going to have modern vehicles as well

I built one myself but 3 of them I bought from customtrains.business.site/, or check out customtrains on IG
So realistic!! Did you build your I5 bridge and the Art Deco column? I love this layout!
