    What can you do, when 17million+ Brexit voters don't just get off their bums and vote Reformuk. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith in a political party you normally wouldn't vote for. Or you end up with Labour, who I will guarantee you, if they last to 2029, will have us back in the EU without any vote on it.

      I half agree - I think they will offer another Vote on their Mainifesto for the 2029 GE. This will possibly win them 16 Million Votes or MORE - namely those who voted to Remain in 2016 PLUS the 2 million (?) 16-26 year olds who are committed Europhiles ! The day after the Refendum, I said to my wife that we would be back in the EU inside 20 years.

Unfortunately, they did not spell out their demands with any coherent legal strategy, framework, or tactics, such as leaving ECHR. This is because the Right overall is disorganised and lacks a grounded, directed, collective sense of political, moral and philosophical identity (except perhaps for the extreme Right, who are a liability for the rest of us). Luckily, however, that lack of a cohesive sense of identity and direction is changing, largely due to increasing poverty among the white working class, *mmigrant crimes, gr**ming gangs, the gender cult, lack of housing, soaring rent costs, lack of healthcare, lack of access to jobs based on merit rather than DEI, 'anti-whiteness' racism indoctrination in schools and so on.

Brexit and immigration. Leaving the EU did stop the mass influx of Europeans, coming mostly form the Eastern nations of Europe. It should also have put a break on all immigration Except our cowardly, duplicitous, self-serving politicians, most of whom never wanted either to leave the EU or halt the influx of immigrants, merely replaced those from Europe with many, if not more from the wider world. Brexit has not been a failure, it was never implemented. Our new PM, a committed EU lover, is intent on nailing down its coffin lid.

    Out of 50 million registered voters in 2016, only 17 million voted to leave and 33 million either didn't want to or were too lazy to vote. Of that 17 million nearly half feel they made a mistake.       When the crowd tried to storm the Greek parliament, shouting, “Thieves! Thieves!,” its anger was misdirected. It was a classic case of what Freudians call projection: the attribution to others of one’s own faults. It is true that the Greek politicians are much to blame for the current situation, and no doubt many of them are thieves; but their real crime was not stealing, but offering a substantial proportion of the Greek population a standard of living that was economically unjustified, maintained for a time by borrowing, and in the long run unsustainable, in return for votes. The crime of that substantial proportion of the Greek population was to accept the bribe that the politicians offered; they were only too prepared to live well at someone else’s expense. The thieves were not principally the politicians, but the demonstrators.
      Such popular dishonesty is by no means confined to Greece. In varying degrees, most countries in the West have displayed it, Britain above all. It is perhaps an inherent problem wherever the universal franchise is unaccompanied by widespread virtues such as honesty, self-control, providence, prudence, and self-respect. Greece is therefore a cradle not only of democracy, but of democratic corruption.
      The Greek demonstrators did not understand, or did not want to understand, that if there were justice in the world, many people, including themselves, would be worse rather than better off, and that a reduction in their salaries and perquisites was not only economically necessary but just. They had never really earned their wages in the first place; politicians borrowed the money and then dispensed largesse, like monarchs throwing coins to the multitudes.

      I think you'll find that it was a legitimate democratic vote. A betrayal is a violation of a person's trust or confidence, or of a moral standard. The fact that you don't agree with the result doesn't make it a betrayal. The referendum result voted to leave. Any deviance from that result would constitute a betrayal of democracy and would violate public trust. Using terms such as 'crap', 'impossible' and 'betrayal' is deliberately inflammatory and erroneously implies that more than half of Britain is guilty of treachery simply for expressing their opinion by means of a vote

    What we do know is that the Tory Brexit Treaty failed as is ignored 50% of the UK population and had zero compromise. Hence the Tories lost as even those who wanted Brexit hated the deal.

      Leaving the EU has made a difference. EU migration to the UK is down. In fact, it ha been negative: More EU citizens have left the UK than entered. It would be completely silly to assume that Brexit could have had any impact on migration from *outside* the EU. It's even sillier to try and blame the UN for what is entirely of the UK's own making.

    The conservatives and Reform must agree to bring charges against those involved in reserving it. Criminal charges without any form of referendum. Charges that could see Starmer jailed and a number of others involved. Gina Miller should be approached because she said if it was all put into law and made legal and will of people who would accept it. In a bizarre way she made it legally complete. If this is going on with Starmer through the back doorr, I am assuming she will intervene and bring a legal challenge.
