Dahua DMSS App - push notifications setup

How to set up your recorder so that it sends you notifications when there has been movement in a designated area. You can set this to send for human or vehicle movement, or both.

Do you need to setup tripwire/detection on the DVR side for this to work?

yes you do. the app simply pulls in information from the devices. If the tripwire isn't set up - the app won't work.

but to preview the video do I have to insert the micro SD into the camera?

A micro SD card would only be required if you don't have a recorder on site. An NVR will allow you to do everything shown in the video without the SD card.
