No doubt Suzuki's engine is better than tata, but please consider the kerb weight of both the cars. Kerb weight of spresso is approx. 775 kg where as kerb weight of punch is approx 1030 kg
You talk about the kerb weight. Yes, Punch is heavier than S-Presso. But engine-wise, Punch has much more BHP and torque to compensate for its weight. So, why are you excusing Punch for its weight ? Why don't you consider the engines of both the cars where S-Presso has lower BHP and smaller torque ? Don't blame S-Presso for its lighter kerb weight as it also has a weaker engine. Though Punch has heavier weight, it also has a greater engine. When S-Presso over-powers the Punch, you don't have no say than to keep your mouth shut. Considering both the weight and engine of these two cars, S-Presso is much far more powerful than Punch.
The top speed is almost same punch goes up to 170 km per hour which is almost same to the any Maruti car it just that there are few seconds of delay that's it, moreover you get comfort, safety & the good suspension system. Don't fall into trap choose wisely
