It’s nice to have a you tuber show the reality of fishing, some times you have a great day sometimes you don’t . It’s still a good day, if you’re on the water.
I look forward to it…I can’t remember a video that you haven’t done it!!! Keep up the “great” work. We all can’t live every dream that we have, but we live them through others and you’re one of them.👍
Hey Aaron. That was the first time in a video that you showed your shop/garage/toy store. You should do a video on the gear you have for all kinds of fishing as well as your diving gear. Do a toy store tour😊thanks again for the great content. JT
Good video, Aaron. Thank you so much for sharing great experience and techniques, we really appreciate that. Being out on the Ocean is great. Catching fish is icing on the cake 🎂. Thanks for sharing
Glad to see someone post the good days as well as the bad days. I would say a bad day fishing beats a good day of work, but that’s not true in your case!
Best youtube fish video I've ever seen. You get it!!! Show alittle bit of rigging, talk alittle tackle, describe conditions, fish, take a 0. End video A++++
This brings to mind something my dad always told me when we would go fishing and get blanked. That's why they call it fishing and not catching. As always, I enjoy your videos.
Rad videos, something I learned on those wire twists is that I always thought the end barrel twists are what held the connection tightest/strongest. After doing some pull testing I learned that the twists leading up to the barrel twists are what really hold the connection together. The barrel twists tend to slide on the mainline when loaded where as the twists before that are less likely to slide and stay in place. I say test it out some pull tests with a few more wraps before the barrel wraps and see. Also try it on some ligther wire as you wont have to pull as hard to see results.
Yup! It will slide down like that. But I’ve never had one pop in my life… yet lol. Been tying those since i was a kid making stinger rigs for my dad. Over the years i slowly and subconsciously started removing the pretwist.
Probably not too exciting for you but I really enjoyed the video of you just taking off from your backyard for those snapper. I wouldn't mind seeing any structures along the way. Kinda like mtv cribs, but down the canal.
Enjoying your talents 😉 Funny thing, if you screenshot at about the 5:10ish mark, you'd think that you were in Cali with a mountain in the background. 🤣 Low 🌨️☁️☁️🤣
Awesome videos, not to sound like a stalker but we saw your boat while walking around waiting for out table the other night. We just moved our son to KW from Georgia. He can't wait to get out and fish!

One day for you one day for them… I appreciate you showing this video this is the reality.. most people don’t have the guts to do that on the many TH-cam channels..
Hey Aaron, very nice video as usual. I use close to the same set-ups in NE FL(16's 0n Terez's). What a few of us struggle with is the "proper" drag strike settings(procedures) and how to set it up(scale, feel specs, etc.), including the neutral knob "rule". Might be a tad involved but we'd certainly enjoy to see how you set up if you are willing to share. Thank You
after I filmed the video I honestly thought about that, I plan on doing more wahoo fishing when they pick back up so I'll mention my take on it! thanks so the feedback really do appreciate it!
I've been out in the same area the past couple breaks in the wind and haven't caught ANY! Hopefully better luck when we catch another break this weekend.
Great vids! Check out some safety wire pliers for twisting that wire, super easy to use and find. I used to use them on the farm to tie wire ends. Will save the fingers for sure.
I made it im at stock island yacht club today was awesome went out to the mud island sand bar and went and got lobster for dinner!! Thanks for the inspiration!!
Agree with Al Lewis! Unfortunately, the "don't" is my reality 90% of the time! Still, i really liked the tutorial on the Wahoo rig set up. Hopefully we'll have some show up here in SOCAL this coming season. Until then, keep the videos coming. Thanks again Aaron.
Can't get them every time. I go over hills just with the engine on forward at 800 RPM live goggle eyes. One Way Way back one closer and the other one a bit closer. It's been working but you know how fishing is some days everything goes right some days you do your best and not one bite that's fishing. Great way of showing how to throw those lip lures. Have a great one
Hey Aaron on the minnow side, I would recommend using a solid ring or another swivel to the split ring. Have seen the hay wires actually get under the split ring.
that's wild! never actually had that happen. to be honest I hardly ever troll hours on end. and check my rigs after each troll and change them after each fish. but I do appreciate the feedback, theres a first time for everything...
@@KeyWestWaterman for sure! Also makes it easy to change lures (using split ring pliers) without having to wire up another rig if they’re hot on a specific color or type of lure.
Absolutely...we lost a couple of pricey nomads before we figured out why. I thought they had started shipping the lures with solid rings vs split rings...but a new one showed up last week with a split ring. Was wondering if it was 'old stock'...
I'm going to try for some Wahoo this Saturday out off Pompano Beach. Hopefully...get SOMETHING. Might throw a swimming ballyhoo on the downrigger if I start marking them deep.
What made you want to guide for a living? It’s been a dream of mine so any advice or even a episode on its own talking about the pros and cons would be really appreciated. Awesome video brother
Most wahoo I have caught have been by accident . One example was the wife and I where in a debate and in our debate I accidentally hit the throttle and caught a 90 lb wahoo on a red and white cedar plug, go figure. Oh ,but of course I won the debate, but lost in other important areas, 😆 🤣 😂. Great video 📹 Sir

Hey Aaron, have you tried using a bibless minnow in a plain white body/red head colour? They seem to do well here in Australia, I wonder if they’ll work for you?
Hey Aaron what’s the Amberjack situation like off the keys? Do you charter for them much? That is my favorite fish to catch Have you gotten a chance to soesr one? I know on rod and reel they fight like no other fish. I’d be interested to see what it’s like to shoot one

I can't remember off the top of my head, I see a lot of guys using bigger swivels that work just fine. I think they only make them in black. should say it on the package.
