Yesterday, PS22 Chorus was revisited by the stunning ladies of Celtic Woman, who joined us for another incredible afternoon of music and mutual appreciation! The ladies were kind enough to bring CDs for all the kids and the amazing custom made Celtic Woman Hearts PS22 shirts you see in the video!
As Celtic Woman & PS22 Chorus have done their own respective versions of "Bridge Over Troubled Water," the kids and I were hoping to somehow bring our two groups together on this one. Needless to say, the ladies of Celtic Woman were completely gracious, adapting their usual rendition to ours and presented here is the phenomenal result!
I absolutely adore these kids! They all get so into the song! Some of them are totally absorbed by the music! A fabulous combination!
The sweet little look on the sweet little soul sitting next to the blonde haired lass when the celtic girls start singing together. Wonderful just wonderful. Inspiring kids to keep brining joy to peoples lives. Loved it 👍

Actually, music departments in schools should look like this👍🏿. I got goosebumps as I listened to these kids pouring their hearts out through song. The teacher clearly loves what he’s doing...that’s what I see in him and the children... PASSION 👌🏿. When is PS22 visiting South Africa? As a music teacher, I’d love to have them at our school performing for us...

@agreggofsociety - I am really curious as to what the "ripple effect" of your Chorus' success might be. From other videos you have posted it seems that the kids enjoy higher self esteem and a better self image. Do you see positive affects in the school, parents, and the surrounding community in general? Are people standing up straighter? Is there greater "investment" in the community? I am guessing that there is but am interested in your perceptions.

A remarkable group of children, and what talent! Of course Celtic Woman, wonderful for sure. But this choice of song to have kids singing is questionable at best, as this song is about a drug dealer.
Silver girl is a reference to the needle and spoon used in doing drugs, and the dreams, well they are on the way after doing the drugs. Of course the dealer is "always" there for you to "help" you through your troubled water......

When my buddy Jerry was hitching across country, back in the 70's, he got stuck in the desert for 3 days, with no car nor hope in sight. This song kept going thru his head over and over. That kept him alive & sane. Keep singing, you guys. You give us hope & sanity in a troubled world. Thank you so much.

Hey PS 22 one last thing.I said I was a teacher in Florida.but when I hear this bridge over troubled water it’s like the ultimate New York City song when I was very very young and I travelled to Florida to live here.keep singing this is one of your other better ones
These are great kids, obviously from a class or classes at the top of their grade. But it is very difficult to be a teacher these days. Teachers no longer can easily punish unruly students. That is why the American education system is failing.
