Its really a bad practice to turn on the engine when there is no oil in it. As this will cause more friction to the moving parts especially the piston and bore. Please dont show this kind of dangerous practices on a large platform. Do some homework before showing something. How much ever u try to completely remove the oil !! There will be some left always. If you really want to clear the sludge deposits, please use a engine flush. ⚠⚠⚠never turn on the engine even for a second without the engine oil !!! ⚠⚠⚠
Hi Bros! We have been doing this procedure for atleast 60k kms on our 2 bikes. No problems faced till now. I used to the same for my old bike as well. And to add more details on your remark, there will always be some "residual" oil stick to the cylinder walls and also much more in the engine head region. We have also clearly mentioned to not to run the engine for more than some few seconds. Infact this procedure is thought to me by a mechanic i know and this situation is similar to cold starting an engine after the bike is idle for atleast 8+ hrs. Just imagine a commuter bike with kick starter.
Using engine flush brings it's own set of complications as well. There have been cases in cbr250 group where people have suffered engine noise troubles after using engine flush. It's more a marketing scheme to use engine flushes. If maintained a healthy oil change procedure no need for engine flushes at all
It depends on bike to bike for CBR 250 it is every 5000 kms or once in 6months to 5 months depending upon usage and ur feeling with riding smooth ness or gear smoothness
Yes bro in our group few people are using shell and it’s good , however I have recently replaced my engine oil with Motul 7100 10w40 depending on my riding style it suits me well.
