Since buying my Mantis I put over 500Km on it for a month and a half of riding. One thing I found was on the bike paths the pedestrians like the bell before passing and to pass slowly (under 15km/h). The Mantis comes with a horn but I installed a bicycle bell being more agreeable sound on the shared paths. We want to give PEV users a good rep, people only see the bad stuff and that leads to banning of the activity. My 20km round trip commute to work only costs a few cents using the e-scooter. I prefer that it can be folded and carried , keeping it off the carpets at work and preventing it from being stolen at the bike racks. For high performance scooters never take it out of ECO mode on shared trails or paths, there is never a need to be speeding on walking paths, your out to enjoy yourself, why rush though it and risk injuring others? On the flip side, having speed and torque on city streets can be used to get you out of trouble or away from impatient drivers.
Also on roads without a bike path it's a good idea to share traffic on roads that are 50Kmh or less as most city streets are. Keep away from high speed traffic.
Kinda sad to see the cold weather coming and to wait for the spring to use it again.
