BSB Movie Channel presented movies in full digital stereo and excellent picture quality and they looked and sounded far better than Sky's PAL pictures and compressed analogue Wegener Panda 1 stereo sound.
The music used for the programme menu (or film menu) was used a year previous in 1989 on an RTE 1 closedown sequence in Ireland. It was on TH-cam until recently, when the channel closed down.

Essentially, yes. Some channels were merged with other Sky Channels and then the rest was kept for a short time. After the merger of the channels, the Marco Polo satellite signals stopped for good.

Fancy test card.
Callie Ray.

Haha! I remember that pub sign in Stockport. It was a gay pub, previously called Byrons. Got shut down for holding live sex shows
I wonder what came of the Test Card and all the other BSB Test Card's? I know some survived on Sky for a while longer.
How did Sky Run BSB did they just use their own satellites for a little while before they closed it down
