How much does the change of earpads affect sound elements such as soundstage and imaging on the Atrium? I have heard that the sonality of zmf headphones tends to change a lot depending on the earpads
Hello sir, I was wondering, what your current favorite closed back headphone is for gaming atm? Found you because of your review of the z7, but Im not sure if Im ready for that ammount of bass.
I adore my ZMF VC for both music and gaming. They're the most open sounding pair of closed backs I've heard to date, and are very well balanced across all metrics.
@@asplmn yea VC is so good, now Im warming up my brand new Atrium and after first listen soundstage is not that far superior compared to VC but like I said its new so clamp force is still brutal, pads stiff, definitely need some time to suits me like my VC
Atrium. I've used an 800S for awhile, but the Atrium and VC are an amazing duo to cover all bases, both gaming and music. Not necessary for gaming, but they are the most well-rounded TOTLs. The Meze Elite is another good TOTL as an all-rounder.
My Atrium's will be here tomorrow. I followed the Verité for quite some time but kept hearing mixed reviews about it so I decided against them. Although the Verité Closed has some great reviews and was a heavy contender until I heard about the Atrium's. If you get a chance I highly recommend the Sony Z1R's for single player gaming. Their imaging and sound stage imo beats the Focal Clear MG's. I was able to grab a pair of open boxed on Amz for $1400 down from their usual $2k price.
Me too I like the mdr z1r due to its grand sound presentation. I own the verite closed, I tried the atrium at Singapore canjam, it was more similar than different to the vc but the main take aways were that the vc is more technical more detailed and faster. The atrium were a more chill version of the vc, its quite staggering that the vc is close to the atrium in Soundstage, but the atrium is still a bit wider and deeper. I understand why Zack priced the atrium the way he did, cause its a different flavor rather than an upgrade obviously. The vc is fast planar like sound, the atrium is zmf's hd800, but obviously with zmf's tone and timber.
I don’t think your frequency response graphs are correct. Every other atrium open graph I’ve seen shows a severe rolloff past 40 Hz and yours doesn’t show that. Also, you show several headphones in their frequency, response graphs, and all of the low end and mid range was the same on all those headphones
So excited to try these out at CanJam in a few weeks!
Would you please consider doing a preset for astro a40 headphones with the mix amp for warzone ? 🙏 No one else knows sound like you seem to.

I totally recommend if you are able to get your hands on the DCA stealth, the imaging has to be the best I've heard, specifically for gaming.
What dac/amp setup did you test on with Warzone and other games?
Awesome!

Im currently selling my HD800S (hated them) for either an Arya or Clear MG. What would you lean to for a perfect balance between enjoyment and gaming?

Arya for sure, Clear got small soundstage & worst imaging
I would get the ZMF Atrium LTD African Blackwood version and lamb skin Auteur Pads it's available and I have the money

I loved the Z1R's until I got my ZMF Verite Closed... Then, I sold the Z1R 😅
@@sonicthehedgehog989 VC is a beast fighting head to head with open backs, just amazing.

and what those graphs do? do they give you pleasure of listening to music? stupid so stupid...
You don’t make sense in one part of this video, 5-6k is not what people mean by “dark”
