I still have all my star wars figures from when I was a kid there all loose and played with but I love them !!!!
Loose and played-with, carded and mint, they're all toys and they're all memories in physical form. Whether they're monetarily or sentimentally valuable, they're still important. Don't let them go!
That place is as close to an actual time machine back to your childhood. Justin's reaction to the G.I. Joe stuff made the video.
You should see the amount of stuff we weren't able to fit into the video! We might have to do a "from the cutting room floor" episode later on!

Loved this episode went down memory lane for sure... made me realize how much money I lost the day I allowed my mother to give my entire first gen Star Wars collection away to a group home ugggh .... thanks for making me realize I will not do the same to my kids!

Comic Trips yes!!! A bunch of great places here. We recently re watched your Canada episode and you guys wanna go to Toronto they have really good shops there!!!
I wish I knew more about star wars toys in general toys but still great episode. Reminded me of Dr fossil episode. Not a lot of guts or different scenes but more of just long cuts shots of the toys themselves. By the way went to two different comic cons back to back weekends and had a blast. Met some really cool artist along with some great signatures like the artist of y the last man "Pia Guerra", willice portacia and scottie young. Had a great summer of my own "Comic trips". Love you guys.

Some of that stuff was just insane! I remember getting my first Star Wars figures a short while after I saw the movie for the first time in '77 and being so excited when I ripped them open to play with them. I can't imagine how some of these carded figures survive but then I look at this stuff with my 8 year old eyes not with my collector eyes.

I'm not a toy collector (just comics) but I'd be lying if I said I'm not getting the itch after watching this webisode. That being said, pretty cool listening to Justin and Penelope drop knowledge on those toys to kinda get me started. Also got the itch to start grabbing the hasbro WWF figures. Oh no. The itch. IT HAS BEGUN. So, truth be told(this is Paul btw), that the itch for Hasbro has gotten worse and worse over the past few months. Things are getting scary. We should probably just hang out together and let it consume us. Kat won't mind, it'll give her more time to buy Disney dolls LOL.

I like toys but they just sit there on your shelf taunting you. Saying things like "You paid $100 for me, now your my B**ch!" At least with comics and games you can interact with them. If I had $20 id spend it on a game or comics! RATHER than a say Marvel legends figure. So what's the appeal of toy collecting?
For US, the appeal of toy collecting is that a lot of these pieces, to us anyway, hold a lot of memories. I (Paul) remember how excited I was to have my Beetlejuice Creepy Cruiser, or my Crash & Bash Crash Dummies Chair....there's something about these physical manifestations of intangible memories that just really hits us hard.
