- Take a walk with me around Cubao Quezon City Philippines. I walk from Araneta City to the New Arayat Market in Cubao Quezon City Philippines. I've done this walk a couple times, and I feel that this is a good one to see where the action is. Do this walk at night and it will be a little different scene, but even probably more exciting. Next time I will film here at night so that you can see the main difference, until then, enjoy!

Question,they places you visit do they have cheap hotels and can a person like me walk with you on these tours??.. always wanted to go to the Philippines and see just local people and hang out with them..

I like how you started out in the posh upscale retail place where people with money could afford to shop at those place (I really like the advertisement for the shows that is coming up on the Araneta Coloseum) and then you just took a few blocks walk and then you are in the real hood (the real Philippines to me) with the street vendors hawking their foods to the jeepneys. It's such a great contrast within a few blocks from each other.

Cubao is no longer the middle class enclave that it used to be... it is a bit up scaled.. missed the old cubao of the late 60s 70s 80s 90s.. shops and department stores .. fastfood outlets. a movie goers paradise .catering to the Filipino middle class... All but gone..
uh gateway mall has all of these offerings? and there are plenty of fast food chains along the strip across from Novotel, not to mention along General Luna Avenue and Farmers Market. do you purposely disregard all that ?

Cubao today isnt for the common tao.. most of whom erroneously consider fastfood dining as "fine dining"..because that is what their limited income can afford .
