Evie French And when you use Beets as a Natural Food Colouring, you can also tone down your sugar content thanks to how naturally sweet the Beets are. When you’ve got two Diabetics in the Family, always a good thing!! 😊
To get true red it does take A LOT of food coloring and red especially has a metallic taste... not sure why... but this isn’t the natural dyes like beet or strawberry... just grew up with a mom who made candy and decorated cakes! ☺️
I enjoy watching your channel than I do television. You guys are so real, authentic, and down to earth. Other vloggers I have had to stop watching because they became fake and unrelatable! Been watching for a few years now! Hope to meet you someday!
Ashley Stenzel agreed! I truly appreciate, too, that they will be hosted by Disney & still give an authentic and genuine review of the pros and cons. I respect them so much for it.
The peanut butter “cake” and the berry tart are almost always available at the Contempo. They didn’t change much about them from these special treats, just added the white chocolate characters. So if you liked those the best, go and get them anytime :)
'Villiantines day', the day villians get the love and respect they deserve, because without them, there'd BE no hero's journey! Well played Disney! *golf claps*
6:20 If they’re copying the Shanghai one then the “drop” is actually where you enter back into the building. The ride starts by launching you off at the bottom then you go up and around the outside loop then back into the building at the top. Been on the Shanghai one many times so I hope the MK one will be just as awesome or even better :)
much respect man for what you do everyday keeping all these folks happy through your video. I cant imagine how everything themepark or vacation related is all just a big blended memory, intertwined together for you.
Omgosh this video gave me a stomach ache just watching it!! And I love deserts! Tim, you really sacrifice your tummy for the videos! I hope your not feeling sick after this!
I have never gotten more enjoyment from watching someone eat than i do with you ;) You make me smile every day. Thank you for sharing my favorite place with me every day. (I live in Edmonton, Alberta so i don't get to Disney often).
Red dye in general tastes weird, I feel like they do more/add more dye to get red to show perfectly because when you mix red and white it becomes pink right so they have to add 2-3x the dye.
Laura Wade well it’s not hard to have red velvet that dark due to the fact there’s cocoa powder but some bakers might add more this is why I started using fruits as organic dyes so it doesn’t taste like that
@Laura Wade red velvet has cocoa powder added to it, as well as the red food colouring and that's what makes it darker. so you don't have to use as much food colouring
@Laura Wade traditional red velvet cake got its red colour from a chemical reaction between the acids in buttermilk and vinegar and natural (as opposed to Dutch processed) cocoa powder. The alkalinity can result in a slightly bitter taste. Modern RV mostly gets its red colour from food colouring and may even just be a vanilla cake with red colouring (in which case it's not true red velvet).
Thanks for showing us all the treats! I bet you were on a sugar high! Love you and your family Tim. Really appreciate how kind you are and everything you do.
Red Dye - from good authority - my daughter has a degree in food science and one in pastry arts - red and black food coloring must be added in very large quantities to attain the desired color - black is very often sprayed on just because you need so much of it to get to black. All food coloring's have specific tastes but red and black stand out due to volume used.
Tim: "Tender isn't the right word." Me: soft Tim: "what's a word for something that's soft OH! soft." Me: 🤣🤣🤣 Chocolate cake sounds like it might be more of a mud cake.
And there you have it ...the best darn Tim Tracker at his best! Love your reviews of food and treats. Liked the tour of the tron coaster too. After all those treats you will definitely pay the price.
Thank you for showing the theming inside of the Sir Mickey’s gift shop, I didn’t know about it and I’ll definitely make a detour to see it the next time I make it to WDW!!! Love all the details you point out!
FYI Tim, the track for TRON enters the building at the top, it doesn't descend out. As you look at it from the people mover, the right side of the building is where you will "take off" up and around the curve in "front" of the bldg and then into the bldg to finish the majority of the ride.
im not a baker but i do know that food coloring has a specific taste. in order to turn white icing red you have to use a lot of dye because if you don't it will be pink.
Tim- you are tasting the food color used to color the icing. They have to use a lot of color to get such a deep color. The deeper or more vibrant the color the more you will taste the food coloring. Enjoy your treats!
hey Tim , thanks for mentioning what the temperature was and how the weather was that day. Thank you, since we're looking into possibly moving into Florida and the number of years. The more we could learn about it the better thank you for the great information of temperature and and weather. All our best love Shelley and Hugo
6:20 The "dive" out of the building is actually be going the other way, ramping INTO the building. That way you start the show scenes from the top of the show building, and gravity carries the train back down to the station.
the black and red are usually bitter. you have to add more gel color to them to get the right color. i always try to recomend airbrushing the red and black colors on the cake if possible.
From what I remember, they have the peanut butter pie all the time but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have a bunch of the extras that were added in order to decorate it for Scar. You may be able to give it a try and see if not having the extra decorations helps with the coffee flavour 😊
both red and black frosting tastes that way because of how much food coloring it takes to get the color. The amount you would normally use for any other color would leave it looking pink or gray.
Hi Tim! Some food colourings, especially black, reds and oranges, can change the taste and texture of icing, chocolate, etc. Red dye #40, allura red ac, in particular has a bitter aftertaste. “No taste” reds are available that use “blockers” (trade secret I assume) but they often do not offer as vibrant a pigment. Natural dyes like turmeric, beets, activated charcoal, will of course always add some sort of flavour to the food as well. Cheers!
Loved this video! I am a professional Pastry Chef and it takes a LOT of red dye to get those vibrant red colors in frostings and fondant, therefore making the taste very bitter or chemical tasting. 99% of the time these frostings are made using shortening and not unsalted butter, which adds to the increased dye being added and unpleasant taste. Reasoning for the fat shortening and not butter is that it is cheaper to make in mass quantities, like at Disney and grocery stores.
Red dye has a bitter flavor of used in large quantities. They do make “no taste” dyes. And higher quality dyes that don’t require so much. Disney really could do better with that considering those cupcakes were probably $5.99.
It takes a lot of red food coloring gel to make it vibrant. Using to much of it becomes bitter. Even using a paste color you need a lot to get it that color.
I want to see how you got all those treats home and Jenn's reaction!
I find when I make vibrant red frosting like that, it takes a lot of food coloring. Some food coloring can taste slightly bitter in large quantities.
Twice Upon an Adventure it also stains your lips and tongue. Using a natural dye like beets or strawberries will get rid of this flavor.
If you use paste colors you don’t need much. Wilton makes them.
Evie French And when you use Beets as a Natural Food Colouring, you can also tone down your sugar content thanks to how naturally sweet the Beets are. When you’ve got two Diabetics in the Family, always a good thing!! 😊
And if you use too much beet you can make people think they're peeing blood!
To get true red it does take A LOT of food coloring and red especially has a metallic taste... not sure why... but this isn’t the natural dyes like beet or strawberry... just grew up with a mom who made candy and decorated cakes! ☺️
“I’m just going to eat a little bit of each.” Proceeds to take at least two giant bites of each! 🤣👍
Me when "trying" my family's food at a resturant
Ann Eckhart and still doesn't put on any weight 😠😂
He is a big lad and loves is food 😅👍
Lmao he ate the whole cookie sandwich
I was thinking 'Poor Jen! There'll be nothing left for her to try!' 🤣
Monorail!!!!
Thank you for never changing, Tim.
🚝 💫 🏰 😄
Imagine if Jackson's first word ends up being "Monorail!"
Imagine if his first words he ever speaks are just a loud, random, "and now it's time to pay the pwice!" 😆
Lord knows my kids said it over a hundred times in this past week. I’ve created monsters, darn I’m proud.
Where is the monorail thing from?
Joshua Davis ain't it a Simpsons reference?
that would be weird but cute
2:44...I'm dying. Tim said crayon and it wasn't weird. Well done dude! Hahaha :)
I love the ink and paint line thanks for sharing
Can't wait for Jackson to be Tim's side kick for the Disney update videos :)
Now I can't wait for that! Gonna be super cute

Going tMagic Kingdom tomorrow. My friends won a night in the Castle Suite! We are stupid excited!!!
Scott K. Wow! That is so exciting. I am sure it will be wonderful!!!
How was it
Yes how was it!!
Lorri West it was amazing!!
How’d that happen? Lol
The carnage! Oh the humanity! I laughed so hard at the first shot of that tray of all 10 sweets. You're a brave man!
Thank you for filming the updates. It’s great to be able to keep up with changes from afar!
Jackson’s first phrase will be “well that was fun and exciting!”
Yesss!
I'm not sure why it is so fun to watch other people try snacks and treats, but I just love watching Tim do this stuff! Thanks for the review!
When Tim saw the dirt by Tron all I could think of was Jack Sparrow singing "I've got a pile of dirt... I've got a pile of dirt!" LOL
Now, the ninth wonder of the world...The underside of the Monorail!
The peanut butter “cake” and the berry tart are almost always available at the Contempo. They didn’t change much about them from these special treats, just added the white chocolate characters. So if you liked those the best, go and get them anytime :)
Suzi Q when we stayed there I think I had the berry tart almost everyday
Catherine Jones me too! I tried the peanut butter tarte and it was too sweet for me. But we loved the berry one!
Suzi Q my husband and son were able to eat the whole peanut butter tart. Just smelling it was to sweet for me
I would have wanted to try Scar and the Evil Queen Tart. They look so good!😋
That Ursula, malifecent, Cruela cake was gorgeous!
We had the privilege of riding Tron in Shanghai....absolutely incredible! I am SO happy the US will get to experience it toooo 💫
Please keep up these kind of old school videos please, they make me happy

I have heard its supposed to be a direct copy
I’ve been to the Shanghai one too!
When you took that third bite of the second cookie sandwich I was like, you better slow your roll. Hahah
OMG your mouth after tasting those!! I love how vibrant they get their icing colors but I don't want a blue/black/red mouth.
Awesome seeing you with your full tray of desserts ! You are the hero we deserve
Always a good night when you see a notification from The Trackers! Love you guys!
better late than not at all :-D
Ashley Stenzel Always!

I learn new words from Tim all the time. I never heard the term "wire lath" before. LOL. Now I have and know what it means. Thanks, Tim!
Happy First Valentine's Day Jackson!!!!!
I have never gotten more enjoyment from watching someone eat than i do with you ;) You make me smile every day. Thank you for sharing my favorite place with me every day. (I live in Edmonton, Alberta so i don't get to Disney often).

That makes sense

There is such a thing as no taste red food dye, but maybe they are just very used to working with the regular
@Laura Wade red velvet has cocoa powder added to it, as well as the red food colouring and that's what makes it darker. so you don't have to use as much food colouring

I totally agree Tim Tracker wet wipes are a must

MONORAILLLLLLLL
“How many monorails am I going to see.”
Me: about 3
Lady K yay! I’m glad people still get this reference
Tim: "Tender isn't the right word."
Me: soft
Tim: "what's a word for something that's soft OH! soft."
Me: 🤣🤣🤣
Chocolate cake sounds like it might be more of a mud cake.
I was on a tour and saw you stop and point your camera at the monorail and said to myself, I bet he just said, monoraaaaaaiiiilllll.
That ink and paint collection is SO cute!!!!! 😍
Red & black frosting needs more dye which adds that after taste. Thanks for pushing through!
And there you have it ...the best darn Tim Tracker at his best! Love your reviews of food and treats. Liked the tour of the tron coaster too. After all those treats you will definitely pay the price.

Who knew that I needed a video filled with sugary Villainous treats and Monorails, in my life. Thanks for that! ❤️
Great vlog! What a large selection of sweets! I hope you didn't have a tummy ache afterwards.
Happy Valentine's Day Tim, Jenn, Jackson and Bandit!
My sister and I each had a Pluto when we were little had the characters sign. It is a cool idea!
I loved the look of the Captain Hook and evil queen. I will definitely get the evil queen tart and maybe the two cookies.
Tron is a really fun ride. I lost track of how many times we rode it at Shanghai Disney. It was only a 5 minute wait the day we were there.
Thanks for another awesome video Tim and Jenn
Yes love to know what Jen thinks of the treats! I think she has a sweeeter tooth than Tim. Also the cruelly would be my go to!
Brave BRAVE man.....so many sweets
I would of tried the Evil Queen...you can have the rest😁
I love the Paint and Colour collection. People can add their own twist to their favourites.
FYI Tim, the track for TRON enters the building at the top, it doesn't descend out. As you look at it from the people mover, the right side of the building is where you will "take off" up and around the curve in "front" of the bldg and then into the bldg to finish the majority of the ride.
Thank you for trying all of them & for your honesty 🐭☺️
Now that’s how you spend a Valentine’s Day! A tray full of deserts for one! 😂
Tim the way you said a "a couple of bags" when you were showing off the new ink and paint collection reminded me of the "you want some grapes" duck
Wish I was there to celebrate Villaintines Day. ❤️😊 Love how you made even a big pile of dirt and under the monorail interesting. 🤪

Shopping with the Trackers at Disney via vlog is the BEST!!!
So funny! Today I really appreciate the awesomeness of Jens editing.

Happy Villiantine's Day to you guys 💖

Noble work, good sir!
Hi Tim Happy Valentine's to yu and Jenn and Jackson awesome video
My wife loves you guys! She’s made me a fan! Thank you for your updates!

Well Tim is on a Sugar Coaster Ride!! Thank you for taking us Tim & Jenn!
Happy Valentine's day Tim and Jenn Trackers and Happy First Valentine's day Jackson!!
Happy Valentine’s Day Tim, Jen, Jackson and Bandit.
I’m officially devastated. We were there the same day. Big fan here. Hope to see you around the parks!

Those treats look delicious! I don't enjoy overly sweet either, so I feel your pain!
Cake Decorator here.... Red 40 is in that Terrible icing Cupcake! So Cool, you tasted all of the treats!
TheTimTracker+ Happy Valentine`s Day, Tim, Bandit, Jenn And Jackson!
Wowza! Way to push through all of those treats!!! 🧁
lol Tim's "little tasting bites" are the same of my husband's
They looked all very nice
Fun video. The trackers are a treasure!
It takes a lot of red food coloring gel to make it vibrant. Using to much of it becomes bitter. Even using a paste color you need a lot to get it that color.
Hope you have a great weekend and that your big adventures (aka Amazing Race) were successful!
That peanut butter one is available all the time at Contempo Cafe, it’s a favorite of ours!
You’re really in the Contemporary when the Monorail gives you pleasant breeze! 🌪💨
Hey Kids, what a yummy Villaintines adventure👏. Happy Valentines Day 🌹 🍬❤️ to you, Jen, Jackson & Bandit. We love you kids 💕🐶🍼
We just got home 2 days ago from staying at the Contemporary and were there this day AND at Magic Kingdom! What the heck!!! 😂
Love love love the Ink and Paint collection 😍
