- The MMDA TFSO visit Santolan and ticket illegally parked vehicles and remove more obstructions from the sidewalk.
One man said the team are unreasonable for removing his posts which were obstructing the sidewalk. But then he also complained about a lack of enforcement in the area.
So if there’s no enforcement, you complain. If there’s active enforcement you also complain.
The reality is, the MMDA have limited resources that they need to stretch across the whole of Metro Manila. They cannot be everywhere 24/7.
That’s exactly why you have Barangay Tanods, Barangay Kagawads, Barangay Enforcers and so on. A lot of what you see the MMDA do everyday can also be done at the local level.
This is a good video for those wondering about the responsibilities and expectations of the MMDA, Barangay and Local City Government.

Nobody is allowed to build any obstruction in public road only the city engineer has the right, and the enforcer is not the people who needs to watch every corner of the road, it’s the neighborhood job to file complain to authority if they need some violation exist ,

I agree with MMDA but they should also coordinate with the barangay involved regarding building code violations. They shouldn't leave that up to the residents.

@@procopioignacio ang ibig sabihin niya ay maki pag coordinate with the barangay ang mmda. Kc pag hindi maki pag coordinate ang mmda at aasa lang sa barangay eh walang mang yayari. Mag lagay kalang ng building sa may sidewalk at di kana masisitahin ng mmda dapat diyan nakikipag cooperate sila kc unfair naman yun. Kung ganyan lang eh dapat mag lagay nalang sila ng building sa side walk diba kc dinam sila aanohin ng mmda.
@@gravityisme239 I have relatives working in MMDA they said na gumagawa sila ng documentation and report regarding sa mga illegal constructions sa kalsada. Pinapasa nila yan sa city hall and brgys. Di naman kasi nila pwdeng pakialaman ang trabaho ng iba ahensya. Di nila mandato yan. Tsaka, parang ine-excuse mo yung brgy sa responsibeldad nila ah. Sila dapat una sinisisi mo dito di yung MMDA.
