I've never worked with such lightweight yarn or a yarn containing silk. At 72, you can teach an old dog new tricks. Love your tutorials, you are so zen and peaceful.
Of course you had to present a shawl that is telling me to stop everything and make this shawl. NOW! I've made the Roswen shawl for a friend and I have the Etude 2 shawl and Midnight Grove still waiting in my drawer to make. I think I'll use the Devoted kit for this shawl as I just want to make 1 Rainier for a different friend and I keep messing up the rounds and I need to take a break. The fog is clearing and it looks like a great day to crochet outside wrapped in my Dashael shawl and Peacock with the Blurr collection. I planned on reorganizing my stamp room, but...Adorn is calling my name!!! Thank you once again for making this world beautiful! Love and hugs!!!
This is so beautiful. I love patterns with beads, it just adds another element of texture and sparkle. Lace weight is my favorite yarn to work with. I live in Florida, so the light and airy feel it creates in lace work is perfect for year round wear.
This is so lovely and feminine. I can hardly wait to make it. I have a birthday coming up and it's the perfect present I can make for myself. I have never worked with such lovely yarn and your video instructions make it look so easy to do and are fun to watch. Thank you!
Love this pattern... Easy, mindless yet elegant.... Lace weight is my favorite yarn weight to work with, as it has huge yardage and drapes beautifully once worked up....
Oh, this is going to be perfect for a sleeveless dress I'm wearing at a wedding. I've made a couple of shawls with lace weight yarn, they've come out so light, flowy & beautiful.
What an elegant wrap. I have never worked with lace weight yarn but so many of my firsts in knit and crochet I have learned from EFA. I am always learning new stitches and trying new things with my yarn thanks to you!
You never cease to amaze me. I’ve loved every pattern you’ve put on TH-cam. I’ve never used such a fine yarn with silk before. I’m looking forward to using this yarn. ❤
This is one of your very elegant yarns! Love the easy beadwork think it would make a beautiful shawl for a bride! Most definitely will revisit crocheting! Thx for excellent instructions!
This is such a beautiful wrap! So simple yet so elegant. I love it! I have crocheted with lace weight yarn and I absolutely love it! I got into using it during the pandemic and I fell in love with the drape of it.
So far my attempts at knotted patterns with lace weight yarn have been too difficult for me. I always get lost in the repeats if i make a mistake. This lovely pattern looks so easy to follow. If I chrocheted this pattern I would be so proud to finally have created a lacy open project. Thanks for always sharing your kindness.❤
Such a beautiful pattern. It will be very stunning with the different color options. I have worked with the Alpaca Silk Lace yarn before. It was with the Sunset Diamonds shawl that we did for the 2023 summer crochet-a-long. That one turned out beautiful as well. Can't wait to make more beautiful things.❤❤
Such a beautiful pattern! The end ruffles and the color and the make of the yarns make it look so luxurious!! No I have not worked with lace weight yarn or any yarn with silk. In fact all I have knitted or crocheted in my entire life was either with acrylic or cotton yarns. Thank you for sharing your new patterns with us. I enjoy your videos the same way I enjoy yoga. Your voice is therapeutic!
Ooooo what a gorgeous pattern. Thank you for sharing another fabulous one Chandi. I do love working with laceweight yarn, the drape it gives to my shawls is second to none 🙂
I have worked a lacy shawl once with lace weight yarn. Really like it. Wearing it feels like a smooth babytouch. You've choose a beautiful color-combo for this shawl - as always.
I like lace weight for summer and used it several times. This shawl is very nice, the ruffle is an idea which really makes it different. I just found the perfect project for my alpaca silk lace Kilkenny hues which I bought a while ago because I couldn't resist and have not used until now.
As always Chandi you have adorned us with beautiful yarns and patterns. This one is lovely and I am definitely going to make it. Thank you and your team . God bless.
I have worked with lace weight yarn. It took me a few trys to get the hang of it but I found I really enjoy working with this weight of yarn and whatever is made from it looks beautiful.
The colors in this beautiful shawl are just stunning together. I have never worked with Lace weight yarn before but would love to make this shawl. Thank you so much! 😊🧶💜🦋
Omgoodness- the shine on the Alpaca yarn for this project - beautiful. Downloaded the pattern and with this tutorial it is next on my project list to make as a gift for me. With Christmas and friends having babies I've been busy making for others. I'm going to try adding beads for the first time also ❤ Tfs
Have never worked with a yarn of that. Pattern looks like I could follow it no problems even the ruffle. I'm always open to trying new yarns and new patterns!
I've been crocheting just over a year .. I've not tried lace weight yarn & can only dream about ever owning some alpaca silk yarn 😍 thank you for sharing such a beautiful & elegant pattern ❤ Susannah
I love this pattern! It is so feminine and yet romantic! My first attempt with lace weight was to make my daughter a shawl for her wedding. It also required beads. I really enjoy making lace shawls with beads. I can hardly wait to make this amazing shawl!

I’ve never worked with lace weight before. A few months ago, I took your advice with trying fingering weight (and I love it), so I’m game to try lace weight. Thank you Chandi
I have worked with lace weight yarn before and fine yarns are one of my favourites. Thank you for your lovely shiny beautiful yarn give away. Have a wonderful weekend!!! ❤️
Love that ruffly edge. I’ve crocheted with #10 thread, but not specifically lace weight yarn yet. I really like the delicate look of the fabric it makes!
Very pretty shawl. I haven't worked with lace weight yarn yet. The drape and the beading on this shawl make it so elegant. Thank you for the tutorial, Chandi.
I had to look back, but I've never used lace weight. One of my favorite projects was in fair trade, mulberry silk fingering yarn. It is so soft, silky, and light. I can't even imagine how airy this piece will be when done. Beautiful project!
I love working with lace weight yarn. The gossamer, lightweight effect, is wonderful for warmer climates, summer, travel and evening wear. Your beautiful colourways and yarn really complement this elegant pattern. ❤
Another beautiful shawl. I have never worked with lace weight yarn because I am intimidated by how long a project using lace weight yarn will take to complete. This pattern however, definitely has me changing my mind. Thank you for sharing.
Oh my....this is such a beautiful pattern.. it literally made me stop for a moment and just stare. I have used lace weight before, and I can't wait to start crocheting this beauty 😊❤
I have not tried lace weight yarn for any projects yet. But all of your yarns are amazing to work with! I can knit like a fiend, and I am wanting SO MUCH to learn to crochet! In watching this video, I think I can do it! I may just end up with a small scarf, but at least it could be something! Being left handed makes me wish I could watch your crochet videos reversed! (I knit right handed)
This is a beautiful shawl scarf and the color is amazing. I've only worked with lace weight yarn paired with another yarn but this is inspiring me to try to work it by itself.
Your words to describe this - elegant and romantic- are so perfect. I love the alpaca silk lace yarn but have only used it combined with fingering so far. I think I need to make this ❤!
I have knit and crochet with finger weight yarn but have not with the alpaca. This is actually a really simple project now that you have shown me. 😊 I love it. Thanks ❤
Oh my goodness! I love the outtakes so much! You and Tim make me smile! This color way and pattern is stunning! I have worked with lace weight before and the results are so delicate. I also love the entire pattern tutorials! You are amazing! 💕🧶

This is a lovely pattern! My son just asked me last night why I had so many huge, plastic crochet hooks. I had to admit it was because I used to want to just get a chunky project done quickly! I haven't used lace weight yet, but I did use a much thinner fingering weight last year for the first time, making the reveil shawl for a friend. She loves how fine and delicate it is!
I love working with lace weight yarn ❤ It always feels so elegant and ethereal, plus it teaches me patience as it takes just a little bit longer to work up! ☺
No I have not worked with lace yarns but would like to try since I am retired and have time to work with it. Thank you for your wonderful pattern’s and all your helpful videos!
Your yarn is scrumptious! Love the colors.....sooo....creamy! I started out with a crochet mini afghan in my youth... after that it was lace doilies all the way for a long time.... great fun... For probably the last twenty years I have been using much larger weight yarn simply because my eyes don't like the lace anymore but oh my how beautiful lace doilies, shawls and table cloths are especially when made from the heart!
This is a beautiful treat for a rainy Friday, making me daydream about Jane Austen characters having a picnic ❤ I've worked with lace weight mohair held double, but the thinnest single stand I've used was sport weight. This yarn is so elegant with those beautiful hues and shimmer 😊
I love your videos, Chandi. They have a calming effect esp after a hectic day! Your videos have rekindled my interest in knitting, something I once tried as a child.
