This video is dope as fuck. I was 13 when the D3's came out and literally all my friends had these shoes. So much nostalgia. Not for this shoe. But I fondly remember flipping through old magazines and seeing shoe ads and admiring how puffy the shoes and tongues were. I thought that was so cool back then haha
I've skated since 1997 and almost all skate shoes were poofy back then but these were about twice as poofy as most shoes. They looked ridiculous on your feet even back then when everyone was wearing baggy pants. One positive thing I will say though is that I miss how unique skate shoes were back then. Compared to most of today's shoes, the quality was way better in that era. Which is weird because if anything you'd think shoes would've gotten better but they haven't. In most cases, they've devolved into garbage and kids these days are brainwashed into thinking you have to have paper thin shoes with zero cushioning to feel the board. The fact is you don't have to sacrifice board feel for comfort. The 'eS Accels (OG) are a perfect example of this. Basically all skate shoes were like those. You could feel the board well, they were durable and you likely wouldn't get a heel bruise skating in them. Can't say the same for most shoes today. With that said though these D3s are an exception. There is no board feel in those shoes and so kids today think that shoe was the standard back then. It was not. That's part of the reason the shoe became so infamous because it was unlike any other shoe in that era. People loved or hated them. They were mostly hated by hardcore skaters because aside from their durability they weren't good shoes to skate in. They became so popular mostly because people who didn't skate started buying them in the malls. BRING BACK SHOES WITH GOOD INSOLES.
right on dude I used to love the ES koston v1's and I had a few d3's wish they still made all the nice shoes like they used to. everything now is just the same shit. last time I went to get shoes, I had to go with globes they were the like 1 of the 2 companies I could find still doing the nice wide "puffy" shoe like I'm so used to. I remember all the posers getting vans or etnies at the mall thinking they were hard skaters. now its so sad the everyone is that lame kid with shitty vans.
Yeah, I'm going back to old shoes. Skated Air Jordans forever. They're awesome. Tried Vans once. They have approximately one atom of cloth between you and the piece of wood you're going to be smacking with your feet all day, and you're basically walking on a milliliter of rubber. I'm gonna get the OG Accels and modern shoes can have my money again once they get some padding and durability. Seriously, modern skate shoes are barely a step up from just wearing socks.
The Osiris D3, Cassius and ODS helped me enjoy skating stairs and drops. They literally kept my feet painless back in early 2000’s. The damn shoes lasted a shit long time too.

Jesse Jacka too bad the company Timberland bought and killed iPath. I have a pair of iPath from 2006? It looks to be in good condition. But the rubber dried up and became hard like plastic. I forgot I had them stored away. Some dude in a skatepark wanted to buy them for almost a hundred bucks
I know they are designed to be kinda sorta ugly to stand out but they are still some of the best looking shoes ever designed, if you wear these you'll stand out in a crowd
I skated those ès SLB's. The ones with the sock in them and ones that came out after that. Had so many pairs. Had the first D3s but the laces would tear in like 10 minutes of skating.
I'll never forget back in 2002 when I SAVAGELY rolled my ankle and fractured it in the originals smh I couldn't skate for a month and a half, I switched to vans and never bought Osiris again.
@@Nirvezz I had em in 01, navy blue and yellow. I did not fuck up my ankle and those shoes lasted forever. High tops helped support ankles if anything. The do last long specially because ive been maintaining them with shoe goo i have 9 months with mine and the bottom 1st layer of sole is gone down to the foan before the air pockets, and they still feel the same and still skate like when new

Duuude yes I remember getting the ccs mailorder and day dreaming over all the cool stuff.
I know they are designed to be kinda sorta ugly to stand out but they are still some of the best looking shoes ever designed, if you wear these you'll stand out in a crowd
This video brought me back.
Do 100 heelflips .. that's really a shoe wear tester haha
Blast from the past! I threw away my original 2001 pair in Black a few months away. They lasted a mere 15 years but I dont skate to much lately.
Should have been 100 varial flips
thealanv no one did v flips around the time the shoe came out, if you did a v flip around 2000 people would hate on u hard.
Picter really? I thought vflips were popular back then..
they were picter don't know shit. I was 17 back then they were very in
100 muska flips
rob killa they were in more around the early 90s
1st song ... gave me complete nostalgia !!
this whole video is a tutorial on how to be steezy
I skated those ès SLB's. The ones with the sock in them and ones that came out after that. Had so many pairs. Had the first D3s but the laces would tear in like 10 minutes of skating.
what song is playing when he starts doing the kickflips
anthony shelton pharoahe monch - Simon Says
anthony shelton I thought it was pink guy - frank says
Tsunari Minamoto thanks so much for sharing!!!
awesome beat on that song
i misss these shoes so much. soo comfy I used to hit ten foot launches off a roll in and not feel a thing landing
the heels fell the fuck apart though haha
Simon says get better shoes
I'll never forget back in 2002 when I SAVAGELY rolled my ankle and fractured it in the originals smh I couldn't skate for a month and a half, I switched to vans and never bought Osiris again.
I can say the same shit about Es Scheme 😂
Lol yeh it’s most likely not the shoe but the user. Unless every user savagely fucked their ankles up skated in them
@@Nirvezz I had em in 01, navy blue and yellow. I did not fuck up my ankle and those shoes lasted forever. High tops helped support ankles if anything. I rolled my ankle badly in 08 and I was wearing the Rowley XL2s. They were low cut shoes. I did it fucking around on a little crook stall. Pathetic lol.
0% board feel. 100% og steez. SOLD. this brings back memories
i feel like this late 90s-early 2000s style is coming back... i can see people starting to wear these more often
mross58 really? I hope so.....
Finally got my pair. I want one more, the red and gray ones, those are the ones I had when they first came out.
These always looked like bootleg airmax 95s to me
Colby Perry Google DC Shoes Legacy. That shoe is an exact skate version of the 95. It was a Danny Way&Colin McKay pro model
Favorite shoe review of all time
Still have my D3s haha
Had bulletproof supras back in 07 and they couldnt handle 3 weeks.
Spot on music usage :) Upvoted already just for the intro!
They just look like Nike air Max's
that's were they got inspiration from
no they don't....at all
J. D. the bulkyness is there tho
there are a lot of different variations of air max's... to me they look like an Air Max 95 with diabetes
that's is a massive insult to the airmax name 😷
Es' accels should make a comeback, loved those shows back in the day
They're still around
D3's are the best
VOLT14 said no-one ever.
Couldn’t have matched a better song fits the Nostalgia
WHAT ARE THOSEEEEEEEEEEE
how about the etnies sal23 or the emerican Templeton 2s. Or the Reynolds 1s. classic skate shoes
real skate shoes...
Riders on the storm... Such a good song
Best
Don't forget that back then we rode skinny boards, 7.5, 7.75 and 8 max. with those shoes!
I wouldn't even take these for free. Hands down the ugliest pieces of shit I've ever seen.
but it would be fun to skate
Do you wear yeezys?
Papa Palp if anyone has any d3s and JNCOs I'll take em 😂
Jadon D. Bro I have these Osiris d3s in a black, grey and blue color way, size 7 that I'd sell to you that Osiris didn't release again
angel diaz how much
The do last long specially because ive been maintaining them with shoe goo i have 9 months with mine and the bottom 1st layer of sole is gone down to the foan before the air pockets, and they still feel the same and still skate like when new
Bahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Yo tengo ese catalogo y efectivamente tuve unos osiris!
I love that they used The Storm skate video soundtrack in this.... Yes I still have that skate video
Those are still one of the best skate shoes ever made!
That fit is fucking fire. I kinda like that rocky brought them back with his awge x under armor collab
One thing I learned by watching the videos with kev is that he has a lot of interesting outfits
