But the longer it went on the harder it became to reach out. I could see a few days to clear their heads but they should've talked to each other. They both feared they'd done irreparable harm to the other, were afraid of being hurt and that fear made them not make moves to fix it. They are a case study in how not to argue.

People, the point of this whole story is that they’re both growing little by little. It’s true that Pat is immature and insecure, but yeah, he learns from all this mess and comes into himself. Also Pat’s presence drove Jeng to action. Please don’t forget he was stuck as his fathers pawn, being a ruthless manager, trying to find fulfillment in both a side business and handing out food to the homeless, but still looking for something more. They both learnt a lot about life and themselves, since they met and were present in each others lives. They’re in different stages of life but they still complement each other. Now that they finally cleared the air and started again with clearer motives and intention, I feel they will go the distance, even if it was hard, stupid and messy to get to that point.
No their is no excuse for pat constantly acting like a emotionally brain damage child from the beginning of the show to the end of the show.
One of the female character of the show who works at jeng father company who used to be a bully and who have others do her work, have completely changed and become a better character in the show and others like her while pat still stuck as the same emotional damage child who needs others to think for him.

I'm going to say this and I'm sure a lot of people agree with me Jeng loves Pat more. He loves that boy to stupidity because after two years plus being blocked, man is still head over heels. It can never be me. Jeng’s situation requires a level-headed, smart, and intelligent partner. In real life as the heir to such a big company, the shit you'd get to face you can't do it with someone like Pat. It'll be draining.

This series is coming to an end after delivering us such beautiful, realistic, diverse, thematic experience. One that matched the title, had such well built plot and characters, as well as a natural pace and a mature story of movin, learning and people connections. All actors did an outstanding job. The whole production is enchanting

I can honestly say that Put dodged a very annoying bullet with Pat. Too bad Jeng didn't.
One of the most skilled talents an actor can have is their ability to show "subtext" which this cast seemed to have in spades. Their ability to give us insight as to what they're thinking or feeling without uttering a word was masterful. A wonderful example of "show" not "tell," giving fans an opportunity to really engage with the characters on a personal level. I'll be honest, the make up scene was by far one of the most tender and moving I've seen in a BL in a long time. I applaud the director on not rushing this part... just letting it breathe and allowing the audience to really feel engaged. The only downside for me personally, is that I feel the choice of not showing what happened between Jen and Jaab was unfortunate. There were a many romantic scenes of Pat and Jeng, but I'm not gonna lie, I would have gladly sacrificed a couple of them to see how Jen and Jaab reconciled or not. I feel I need some closure concerning those two.

PAT, bloqueou Jeng, por dois anos mas Jeng, tbm sentia que estava errado mo que fez a Pat, não isto seja motivo para PAT, bloquear ele foi muito uma atitude ruim que Pat, tomou sem pensar.

I want to see Jabb/Jen relationship developed. I like them also. One thing I can say this show has so many people hooked on it, kudos to writers and directors for a well orchestrated drama. We viewers love intensely. The comments are so real and heartfelt

This was the best episode in the series - moving, full of angst and uncertainties, sincere, open. Both characters have matured in their inner selves and in their relationship. I am impressed by both actors' top notch performance. Excellently done! I want to see more of their presence on my screen.
I think if there was one story where I would have been happy with them accepting their mistakes for closure and still going their separate ways... it would have been this show.
Pat is clearly not happy in a relationship where he's not on equal ground. It's important for his self esteem and his pride. He could not deal with Put's growing career and divided attention; and he could not deal with Jeng's higher social/power status and well-roundedness. I mean, Pat would not have had an opportunity at that company if it had not been for Jeng's foresight in creating the department. There's no question Jeng is talented. 🤷 Any time Pat's partners needed to act above his needs for the sake of their own responsibilities, Pat could not cope well--or at all.
TWO years have passed. TWO. That's THREE years from the time Pat and Jeng met. And he can't even think to put himself in the other person's shoes, even for the sake of sympathy, unless someone else calls him out? Um. No. That's not Step by Step growth. Sorry. And the nerve to ask why Jeng would think he hates him?! Bro! The gaslighting. 🤦♂️
In the beginning, I saw a bit of what Jeng was attracted to; a young, enthusiastic, and honest person in Pat. But after that, it was red flags everywhere. I had little sympathy for Pat. He did help Jeng realize he was sick of his dad's indirect influence over his personal life in favor of the ideal professional image (which I get is a big deal). But other than that, the only way I see their relationship ever working is if Jeng quits the company, marketing, and any professional ambitions altogether, and further reduces himself to whatever Pat is most comfortable with. I don't like that. But that's just me, I guess.
I guess my problem is that I never really liked Pat? I never saw growth. Not even a little. So, it was hard to dismiss his wrongs and root for him and Jeng. 🫠
I've been massively skipping episodes since Jeng first said "I like you" but, from the bits and pieces I've seen, I agree.
I mean when Jeng said "I will mold you" (you remember?)I thought that was what Jeng was planning. Retiring for a few 1-3 years to help Pat catch up faster (both emotionally,professionally, etc). Which appeared ok to me at the time, as long as Jeng is willing and Pat learn to be introspective and not take every criticism like a bullet in his heart.
I'm 23 and very emotionnal, and a past people-pleaser. So I relate a lot to Pat and it's triggering. But the massive difference between Pat and I: Introspection.
I am as emotional as him and in the moment I will blow up. But a few hours later or the following day I start analyzing, asking myself questions. Talking with my friends about it. But they don't spoonfeed me the anwer. I find it alongside them.
I also don't take criticism as personally. It hurts 100%. But I suck it up and I try to partially understand where the person is coming from and think about it later. Really it all comes back to that.
To come back to Jeng situation, reading your comment makes me realize how unfair it is to be happy about Jeng stoping his whole carreer for Pat... Secretly I've been dreaming about a prince in shining armor that would do just that, and I'm biaised I guess XD

@@eureka2694 To be clear, I don't think being over emotional is a bad thing. It's just another kind of personality [or emotional intelligence?] and everyone should be valued for their strengths. Having a diverse range of employees can only strengthen a team. Not weaken it. [Yet another thing they failed to demonstrate].
But like you so cleverly pointed out, I feel Pat was never really given any "introspection" or sense of rationality. He was definitely painted in a very 2D way which is fine in fiction, but very HARD to IGNORE when it's one of the MAIN LEADS. He just wasn't developed properly. And because of that, to me, he wasn't very likeable.
I expected Pat to assure Jeng that he didn't have to give up everything to be with him -- though Jeng had his own reasons to leave the company for sure -- because the majority of the reason, was Pat. But Pat never did or even acknowledged the huge shift that Jeng made to level out their circumstances because it suited Pat's needs. Hell, Pat doesn't even display much of a conscience if we are being truly honest. Again, all fine and dandy when it's the source of a conflict in an early relationship. But they have had 3 years of history at this point. Just because they say they are starting over, it doesn't mean it really is a do-over when one has given up part of himself to do so. That's not how do-overs work.
