I love how you guys have grabbed the world by the throat and realised your dreams making them reality. It's a great message you send out with every video regardless of the day to day ups and downs of the cruising world. Thanks for the videos guys love that shit. By the way that "red sky at night...." concluding the video was beautiful
Always told towing a dinghy with the outboard on is a expensive mistake.weather can change rapidly swamp the moter + how many times do you look behind you an check it's still there??
Excelent video, you have definitely nailed the quality and mood lately. Tip: Always mix cold and warm water with the detergent before dumping in the laundry. Otherwise it is too much of a temperature shock for Zack’s mankini
That was a great way to practice the man overboard drill. Saved having to throw one of you over. The scenery and apparent lack of moisture on La Graciosa shows what a struggle life must have been. Stay safe.
Ubi bene ibi patria - was an old Latin motto of people in diaspora: where it's good there's my [fatherland] home-country. This diaspora here "ubi ventus ibi patria" where there's wind ..., or where the wind blows ... Great storytelling
very nice filming. i wish you all the best. a tip from an old boater. use the TWO SIDE metallic bindings to tie the rope to drag your dinghy and NOT THE CENTER ONE make a V with the rope and give enought space to tie it with the main rope of your boat. that will not allow your dinghy to move left and right the nose when you drag it and this is an additional security. consult other boaters to confirm it. good sails and good winds with best wishes from Thessaloniki/Greece
When towing the dinghy astern, 11:05 &13:05 seconds, especially with the extra weight of the outboard, it is always best to use two painters (lanyards) in case one frays, snaps or becomes detached. And fit the second one to a different fixing on the dinghy. Lost dinghies and outboards are very expensive. :(
Lovely views. I don't think the Canary Islands have ever had the credit they deserve. Because they're relatively close to western Europe they've been taken for granted as people drag themselves to long-haul destinations in Asia, Australia, etc. Last year I followed a UK motorcyclist, Freddie Dobbs, on TH-cam as he and his girlfriend spent a couple of months on Tenerife. They rode all over the island and it was a revelation to me. Plenty of other islands to explore there too - looking forward to your future films.
Goodone just found you,I’m at the bottom of the world NZ South Pacific next year hopefully on my Catamaran,I’m interested in what you studied and came out with sometime you can pick it but not you guys, your doing very well in joyed your episode just loved your comment bloody doing it.I’m a cockney left in 65 just love being a wee bit warmer.Little bit advice it looked like your towing your dingy on the central eye you can pull that eye out run your painter through both your forward eyes and then through your front eye so the load is shared if it pulls out it will go flat rather quickly.😅
Happy New Year to you both! We thoroughly enjoy your videos and all the exciting exploring you are doing. Your confidence is growing and all seems calm on board. Well done!
Thank You so much for a Great video this week! I hope ya'll had a Great Christmas🎄 and Happy New Year! 🎆🎇 And to see ya'll in the pacific someday! So until next week, Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! 🌋🥂🍹
Hey guys! Good start for 2023 (although not filmed in 2023 ), wish you all the best! I have a similar picture of the sunset on Lanzarote from a few years back. Nice to see you there. Looking forward to your next adventure..
Hello Bekka and Zack..Happy New Year from Dallas, originally from Lancaster UK. Enjoying your photography, which is excellent and gets even better every week. Safe travels.
Happy new year to you both. Now I must say, that was pretty cool saving the hats life. Lol. I'd have no problem sailing with you two because if I fell over board at least I know you could save me haha. Good on you both. You have come a long way with your sailing skills.👍 SV Kiwi Lady Opua Bay of islands New Zealand 👍
Have a wonderful 2023 guys. I might just be Afloat in a boat again this year if things pan out, and will aim to be in Cape Verde ready for a crossing in early January 2024, if the icky Arctic lows are starting to sort sort themselves out by then. Already need to watch what is happening with mid Atlantic Sub Tropical Fronts, which up until now are looking very confused and messy, and if that carries on, by the time I'm ready to cross, I may have to think about going further South and setting course for Northern Argentina (could pick up some nice steaks etc, plus nice Wines there to compensate for the detour), before tracking North past Brazil up to Trinidad and Tobago. ish area, before heading to Mexico. West of the Yucatan Peninsula if this year is anything to go by, is no longer such a good Shelter from Hurricanes spot by the look of it, but anywhere to hide out that has Tequila, will probably be fine by me lol only partly kidding. Best Wishes, Fair Winds, and sound anchorages in gorgeous places to you both. Bob. 👍🍻⛵️
Hey guys, really love the videos! Maybe one day I will be able to leave land aboard my own little boat. Us, the community should support, let's not forget to subscribe and give the Teulu Tribe some support
Noticed you were towing the dinghy from a single line. You might consider a second one. Also, though it is a pain to take the outboard off, what happens if an off wave flips the dinghy? What would you lose?
Hi Becka, Zach good to see again 🤣 it's been 7 days since my last teulu fix 😂 ur both looking fantastic, Becka ur shoulders and arms are definitely getting some muscles girl. ? Why r u using boiling water to wash clothes. Mate get a cold water detergent save on power and burnt hands. Great vlog, stunning scenery. I can only see one painter on ur dingy please put another on it, always have two, trust me I know. I love ur shell necklace Becka it really suits u.
not sure if this is to personal. but how much did you buy Teulu for. Or even a ball park? Me and the wife have been looking at boats and prices range sooooo much! its crazy.
This is so weird.... At the start I was like; "Where the hell ARE they?" and a second later the Lat./Long appears on the screen. :D Nice to be in a warm place at last, eh? I have been looking into the pattern of Killer Whale attacks on Sailing Ship Rudders, and it seems that it might be just one Pod that is doing the damage. So, it is possible to end this thing by making a few good examples of the perps. Wrapping an electrified wire around the rudder would be discouraging to them and t could be done w/o taking the boat out of the water. A sealed package of butyric acid would have the same effect, but I have no idea how you could mount that to the rudder w/o causing unwelcome drag. Last idea; next time you paint the rudder, see if you can find or make a sulfur--based primer (underlayment), and lay it on good & think. The rudder will still get bitten, but only once!
The Hat Accident is interesting. Not being patronizing, but just consider if it was something more "valuable" than a hat. And it was blowing harder. And it maybe wasn't dark, but sunset wasn't far off. And you had to chane Teulu's rig from a downwind setup to upwind. On your own, and in a desperate hurry. Maybe consider wearing a bumbag (get the fashion police!) whilst on passage, with a strobe, a smoke flare and a whistle. in it. Seeing a human in the water is incredibly hard at more than a hundred-odd metres in the open sea. Islands are delicate places, and life there can appear idyllic, until you have to stay there. Well done in not being judgemental- I saw a published article in a well known UK boating magazine by someone complaining how expensive petrol was in an incredibly remote Arctic community(!?) Well, no S""t? (How did they think it got there?).
Fair Winds guys !!!
I love how you guys have grabbed the world by the throat and realised your dreams making them reality.

Thanks for the videos guys love that shit.
By the way that "red sky at night...." concluding the video was beautiful
Well done a lovely gentle video with some stunning scenery 😊
great videos. Looking forward to seeing more.
More to come!
Nice video. The two extra d-rings on the front of the dingy are for a tow bridle. It will track a lot better behind boat with the bridle.
Always told towing a dinghy with the outboard on is a expensive mistake.weather can change rapidly swamp the moter + how many times do you look behind you an check it's still there??
Your videos are my free space. It keeps me dreaming!
Excellent job of filming and editing. You are getting rather good at this, well done
Excelent video, you have definitely nailed the quality and mood lately.

Just the ticket for these cold, dark winter nights in the UK.
That was a great way to practice the man overboard drill. Saved having to throw one of you over. The scenery and apparent lack of moisture on La Graciosa shows what a struggle life must have been. Stay safe.

Yep good advice old mate Marty Australia
that looks like a hellish clothes washing method. thanks for the video!
Coming from the 19th century I was amazed to see you using the modern equivalent of a posser when doing your washing. What do you call it?
Yea, scrub that deck! Git in there, nice-n-DEEP! Lol😂 I’m gross.
The sea can wash your clothes in a 'sloshy' bucket up forward..
Definitely not a good idea towing dinghy with outboard on recipe for hassel if it turns over which is likely

have you guys practised a single handed man overboard?
not sure if this is to personal. but how much did you buy Teulu for. Or even a ball park? Me and the wife have been looking at boats and prices range sooooo much! its crazy.

Oh, and if you go with the wire, go with high voltage but LOW amperage.
Volts sting, Amps kill.
Looks like the colour white is prominent. Was there a reason.
