The My Little Pony thing is from MLP generation 4.5 which was.. sort of weird but had a potion theme. It was Hasbro trying to transition back to focusing on kids as their main audience after Friendship is Magic ended but before generation 5 was ready to be released. The set specifically was "Let's stick unicorn horns on everything". That's also exactly what G4.5 Celestia looks like btw.

The dissolving bags are made from PVA (polyvinyl alcohol fiber) which is commonly used, as a fabric stabilizer, in embroidery. It's also the same stuff that makes laundry soap pods, and you've used it for decades as "PVA glue"... white school glue. It's non toxic and biodegradable.

Unstable unicorns is a brilliant game where you collect unicorns and betray your friends with curses and attacks in the quest to be the best. I definitely recommend it, it's a ton of silly fun, with lots of evil plotting and laughter.

I love how the character cards for the Unstable Unicorns mystery boxes are the actual cards for the game so you can use them when playing. That is * amazing *
My friends and I play their Here to Slay game, and collect the figures too! We have two characters so far for it!
The dog and cat are miscoloured versions of Winona (Applejack's dog) and Opal(Rarity's cat). They're actual colours are brown and white, and white respectively.
Not sure who the other ponies are. On the paper it looked KINDA like Rarity (the one after Celestia), a combination of Trixie and Lyra(the blue one you called Shoeshine) and Luster Dawn (the pink one w/ the yellow mane). The all pink one with the crescent moon cutie mark tho, idk. That's pinkie's colour, Rarity's sculpt for the mane/tail and a random cutie mark.
There's actually another set for the Unstable Unicorns! Unstable Unicorns Rainbow Apocalypse. I got one the other day and managed to get Soul Sucking Unicorn, one of the 1/18 chances ones. So there's even more unicorns!
My little pony likes to add a bunch of “background pony no.whatever” & “unnamed mare no.who-cares” to fill out their toy lines.
I’d chalk reuse of moulds or color pallets up to “cheapest way to make a new toy character”, just like how the show reuses line art for background characters.

I didn't watch further before commenting lol, I meant on the paper image, the one after Celestia looks like princess Cadence, I just got to the one that is a major mash up of pinkie, rarity, Luna, and Trixie
I think the pink one was Pinkie, and the cutie mark was supposed to be the balloons, but the yellow balloon blended in a bit too much to the pink, making it look like a crescent moon

Me and my family play unstable unicorns all the time, I actually sculpted stabby the unicorn for a family member as a gift. The game is so much fun, I would definitely recommend playing it. It gets competitive though and games can last a loooong time. It's a staple for game night in our house.
Are the cards holographic like these?

The MLP ones are really disappointing. A few years back, they made blind bags of the characters that were the same size roughly, and you could find them at the dollar stores. Granted, they didn't come in potion bottle shaped packages with blue paper snot, but the packaging isn't worth the extra $5.
I bought so many of those ones.
The detail was much better
There was also a much wider roster of characters so you would have more variety

I have the unstable unicorn game and it's very fun. There are some cards that aren't worded the best and can inadvertently cause war between the players, but the game devs are good at making notes online to clear the confusion. Outside of that, the game is super fun!

The THUNK of the second unstable unicorn hitting the desk scared me so badly ;7; Especially when his halo came out unattached, I thought he got broken...But the Dark Angel and Necromancer were the ones I was most excited to see, and I'm happy they didn't get broken
The one with the gold glittery horn kinda looks like Potion Nova from the spin off “Pony Life.”
Those marks on the titanium unicorn look like lense flares.
I think that is Rarity because in these shorts the ponies do get into shenanigans by drinking potions, she probably drank one that changed her color and her cutie mark

I would have to repaint all of those My Little Ponies.
In order from top left to bottom right, we have Princess Celestia, Angel bunny, Rarity, Lyra, Gummy, Winona (Applejack's dog), Sunshine, Tank, a hippo from Cheese Sandwich's party song, Twilight Sparkle, Starshine (who seems to be a gen1 pegasus) and a black version of Opal (Rarity's cat).

The MLP collectibles for friendship is magic were all really bad quality

Lyra Heartstrings (A bg Pony.), Gummy (Pinkie's pet alligator.), Winona (Applejack's pet dog, but it is the wrong color.), Lily Valley (A bg Pony who is suppose to be an earthpony.), Tank (Rainbow's pet tortoise.), A cartoon hippo they ripped from some random site, Twilight Sparkle, Starshine (A pony from G1.) and Opal (Rarity's pet cat but wrong color also.)
Obviously not all of them actually have horns.

Undtable Unicorns is SO MUCH fun!! We have all of the expansion packs for it as well, and enjoy playing together at least once a month.

Top - Left to right - Princess Celestia, Angle, I was thinking maybe this was pinkie pie and they gave her a horn for some weird reason. I can't find a chara that looks like that in the Wiki. That's supposed to be Tricksy
Second link - Left to right : Gummy. Winona (She's apple jacks dog), Couldn't find this chara in the wiki, looks like a pink version of Derpy and made unicorn. Tank. Dunno the hippo, not an official pet
Last row left to right : Twilight Sparkle, I think that might be Rainbow Dash, i couldn't find another pony like her on the wiki. Opalescence, Rarities Cat but she's supposed to be white, not black.

The unstable unicorns are cool indeed! They got me at the shiny cards, but definitely pricey. I love the dragon characters on your scarf but alas, I have absolutely no use for scarfs in tropical Singapore 😅. Already have the dragon keychain plush and it’s sitting on my shelf because the box it comes in is too cool and makes me not want to take the plushie out 😅
i believe the blue pony is Trixie or Lyra Heartstrings, the pink and yellow pony is Lily Valley. the white, purple, and light blue gradient pony is Potion Nova, and the light pink and magenta pony is a recolor of rarity. there is apparently recolorings of the molds, so some ponies might not be acurate to the show. (sorry if this was already answered)

The dog is named Winona she's usually brown and white, the cat is a very miscolored Opal (Opalescence) which is Rarity's cat and she is usually white, the bunny is Angel Bunny, Tank is also a tortoise and meant to be shades of green and yellow. That pink pony is Rarity's style but Pinkie's coloring and like a weird version of Luna's cutie mark
Edit: No idea who the hippo character is or where it came from?? Starshine isn't quite right coloring wise but I think you're right about her.

Ive played unstable unicorns with a friend. It wasn't fun only because she was kinda a mess, and didn't really let me play the game, but the actual game is fun from what i remember. I need to get it again and play it.

I think both sets are pretty cool. I wouldn't think $6 is that bad, since you get the activity of adding the water. I do like the non-pony animals better, though. That cat and turtle are my favourites from the My little ponies.
I had never heard of Unstable Unicorns before, but I want the game now. Are the actual cards also holographic, or is that something you get only from the figurines? If they are like that in the actual deck, those are the most beautiful cards I've ever seen.
