X of swords and Dceased are the best things about right now in my limited opinion. Really hope to see the MCU and the DCEU adapt them.
Just imagine if the SWORD space station was one of the swords wielded by the X Men. Event would be a 22nd of what it is now.

I was gonna say it's weird that Magik (a Great Captain) calls Cyclops (a Great Captain) "Captain", but apparently Cyclops is the Captain of the Great Captains.
I think the plan between Jean, Cyclops & Magik are planning on using telepathy to stay in contact with each other during the actual battle.
Telepathy is banned on Otherworld meaning the X-Men have no means to communicate with each other in battle but if they’re able to overcome that then they have a advantage.

Uncanny xforce Archangel turning back to death is one of my favorites
I understood as if they are trying to send more mutants or maybe stop the tournament somehow. They probably don't wanna talk openly because Saturnyne could intercept. That's why Magik said she has "ideas" for transport (She can teleport through time and space, she was seen traveling through dimensions before). And Jean asked to keep an eye on Cable, was not Magik that openly offered. They have been writing the relationship of Jean, Scott, and Cable in a much more family/nurturing way than in previous storylines. He is a very capable fighter, but he is still their kid, they are worried, especially because they cant resurrect him if he dies there. Magik is extremely capable in hand to hand combat, and swords are her specialty. I kind of notice before that Rob doesn't really give attention to Magik as a character. He always kind of run over her and overlook how powerful and useful she is, on his explanations.
He's never seemed to give Ilyana her due. Probably never read, or liked if he did, the original New Mutants prior to the Inferno event.
Yeah I'm betting he's just not interested in the comics she's in so he doesn't have as much knowledge on her than he does on other characters. Also this comic specifically wasn't about her so hopefully her fight is highlighted in a future comic so we can hear more about her.

@@cjtrules1 True, but did you checked the New Mutants review? He was very general about her. Like, keep mentioning her as Colossus's sister. By now Illyana has been in many more story-lines than Colossus. Today, she has a much more central role in the X-men universe them her brother.
I thought through limbo she can travel to any including other dimensions/universes but not through time. Cant ring a bell where she did a time travel.
While I more than likely missed our lord and savior commenting on such, i have to mention it.....
Am I the only one who finds it interesting / strange that Jean is pretty much in her classic outfit, while everyone else is in new updated, modern renditions of their uniforms?

Not really related to Marvel or X-men, but I really like DC's Far Sector. It's a stand alone Green Lantern comic and it's pretty good and my suggestion for something you could cover in the future.
That log page at the end was like something out of Aliens. So crazy and creepy. I wondered what had happened once the three got out. I didn't think Jean and Scott may have been affected by whatever that attacked the ship. Hope they come back to this once this tale is over. Was very interesting.
Although most of you would be correct that Magik, Cyclops and Jean were talking about how they can contribute to the sabotage plan against Arako. I have wild idea of them using the alien invaders from the SWORD station as a distraction. Maybe the transport they're talking about is how they can transport the portal the alien went through into Arako.

They're probably thinking of dropping SWORD into Otherworld and letting the Vescora go to town on the armies of Arrako. Cable would be against this because he just got a new toy (Sword Station) and wouldn't want to lose it in one shot. Magik is serving as the distraction/babysitter.

It's weird that Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Cable, aren't treating each other as a whole family unit, given the flushed out history for these three. It's........ really weird.

actually they are doing that, they just didn't show it that much in this issue since we're dealing with an event. rob hasn't covered it but in the current cable book we see jean and scott being parents, hell even emma was sorta one for the cuckoos.

This seems like one large mission each part gets complete in secession, its a marathon who gets back first does not conclude the event. I get what your saying there is no clock or change in days its all happening at the same time.
I can say this though before Wolverine went to hell for his sword he was advising She- Hulk, for him he knew what his next trial was leading him. Magik has hers she can go once Polaris made the location, in that time Logan was gaining his sword.

this issue takes place immediately before the New mutants 13 we saw the video for a few days ago, FYI. Magik and Cy talking about "rain". And im still reading Captain Marvel, New Kelly Thompson run is fun. She's been out of Alpha Flight since sometime after CW2, probably after her mom died in Life of CM. New arc in a dystopian future with Magik potentially as a villian or captured and using limbos demons to attack survivors. Emma Frost, who's still alive in diamond form in a dystopian like 2050, basically saying she used to be a God in limbo and she is therefore very worried they'll have to take her down.
Wouldn't mind rewatching all the green lanterns, but that's a lot of work yo xD

When you're covering a series, any chance you can just drop these into their own, respective, play list as they come out? It's a pain in the butt to find all the other parts. Some series you do have as a play list. But venom wars, x of swords, etc I am not finding which makes it hard to get caught up

If u guys watch Dragon Ball Super think of this as like the Tournament of Power. They have to go gather their warriors (in this case them and their swords) before the main fight. They do have 3 days , and based on the previous issue it seems once a person gets their sword they go to the altar and wait. Sometimes the moments in between happen at the same time but they are all within a 3 day time frame.
