    I’m one of those people who always needs the whole picture to really understand and I just wanted to thank you for literally explaining everything. You did it in such a way that isn’t overwhelming but informed me in a way I feel like I can start growing tomato’s this spring. So Thank YOU! 🌞🍅🪴🌞

      Once upon a time l was allowed to have a small garden which was successful
      I now reside in an apartment and would like to try my hand at growing tomatoes again.
      I replayed your video many times to get the notes correct in what to purchase from Home Depot . I have 3 little plants. I have a deep heavy guage bin that l will make drainage holes when l prepare my soil.
      My thoughts were to put those mixed in the soil then put the plants in the prepared soil.
      If l do this will l kill my plants?
      Naomi

    • @TheNakidGardeners
      @TheNakidGardeners  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@naomicounter9637 No you will not kill them. Tomatoes are very hardy. Just make sure you harden them off. When I purchase starts I will not transplant them right away most of the time. I will let them get use to the area for about a day or two.
      Do you have a balcony?

      @@naomicounter9637 are you going to leave the plants outside? What plants are you growing? You harden off plants by slowly introducing the plant outside by an hour the first day and increasing the time outside by each hour for 7 days

    Alafia. If we live on top floors what do you recommend for drainage? I dont want to bother my neighbors with the dripping water. Or should I just try to water when they're not out there?

    • @TheNakidGardeners
      @TheNakidGardeners  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can put a drip pan underneath your containers. That way when you water and the water soaks out from under it it can use it as a water reservoir.

    Which brands (since you don’t like miracle gro and why?) do you recommend

    • @TheNakidGardeners
      @TheNakidGardeners  ปีที่แล้ว

      Any other brand will do. Miracle Gro fertilizer does more harm to the soil and plants. It is high in salts and doesn't promote soil health. Growing food starts with the soil. If you don't have healthy soil, then you will not have healthy plants in the long run.

    My apartment doesn't have a balcony, but it does have large windows. Is it possible to grow some food indoors in pots or window boxes?

    • @TheNakidGardeners
      @TheNakidGardeners  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would make sure those windows are south or east facing windows. If you don't see about getting those ambient temperature lights with growing/bloom spectrum colors.
