Native English here... I'm a sucker for a 'How I met my partner' story - This was so wholesome and heartwarming. Great mix of couples and stories too. Please do a part two for Valentine's? :)
A native New Yorker here! I'm just watching, because the stories are so interesting. I met my French husband in the university cafeteria while I was on exchange in Paris. I've been with him for 13 years. Attraction, love, respect, good communication skills and compromise are what make a relationship last...It's hard sometimes but always worth it!
When couples discuss relationships and healthy communication...it sounds like special care is something you should have. Feeling cared for and also taking care... love- life-dialogue. An amazing, heartwarming episode." -
It is unbelievable indeed... She's is a musician, so probably she has a natural talent for detecting different sounds and intonations and then absolutely nailing them in her own speech.
I'm brazilian and that video made me feel so nostalgic about Brighton, I was an exchange student there in 2019 ❤ I remember each store and rue that's on the video. Nice people, great restaurants and an amazing view at the pier. Brighton ❤
It should be noted that there are a lot of varieties of accents here from different parts of england and different countries. You've got germans, french, americans, northern irish and english people..some dont have 100% English themselves ie they structure the sentence differently or use the wrong word or tense BUT i'd say you're getting an accurate representation of the english speaking public except the non european influence.
When I started university, I met my fiancee. I fell in love with him first eye contact and we have been together since 2016 and we will get marry next july :) I love him so much. He is also my friend, my family who is everything for me at the same time. I am very feeling with him. He is so kind, sweet , hard working , not lazy. He always care of me and I am feeling how he love me. I am so luckly for meeting with him. :)
aww, mitch. I thought you would tell the story of how you and Isi met. I met my gf Sam on the dating app Okcupid in march 2021 just as we were coming out of Lockdown. We met at king's cross and we walked along the Regent's Canal until Limehouse and then onto Tower Gateway. As we were saying our goodbyes, we had our first kiss. And these lads across the road saw us and started cheering me on, go on my son. We tried kissing again but they kept cheering and hollering. In terms of advice and this is something that I had to learn myself, but it's perfectly fine to be two separate people rather than two halves. It's fine to have separate interests and separate lives and they don't always have to overlap. It's fine if you don't see each other everyday or do everything together. I do lots of things by myself as I know Sam would have no interest in them.
That's a great story! You'd both have fit in really well, with the other interviewees. Great bit of advice too, I like the wording of the two halves. Go on my son! 😆
1984, On a tour bus, I saw pictures of a woman posing nude in a "men's magazine." Just days later, I met her at a concert I was working. 1987, we were married, and here in 2024, we still are.
Hah, having any gender included in pronouns seems unnecessary when you are a Finnish speaking person. :-) No gendered pronouns here. When I started learning English and Swedish as child the use of he/she or han/hon was the first oddity to stand out from the grammar and the philosophy within the languages. So for us they/them makes sometimes much more sense than he/she. Go English, make a good use of it. Disclaimer: ofc we get used to heavily gendered English, French etc. very fast so it does not disturb our discussions that much... but it does affect lives if one is forced to use a wrong pronoun in the daily communication.

It's a miserable snow-filled day where I am too so I thought I was meant to watch this lol.
Hang in there! Hope you enjoyed 🙌
In the Gay Capital of the UK and you couldn't find any boys to talk to?! Okaaaaay! Happy new year!
I was going to say, "You filmed this in Brighton and managed to find that many straight couples?!" :D
You always meet real people without fluff in the streets of Europe. In the US you always feel like people are trying very hard to be something else.

It’s typically an A.I created to impersonate a real human, mainly in order to exploit other people

I’ve given up on women personally. I prefer to be single.
I always wonder if non binary pronouns confuse English learners? (I’m from the UK)
