    I've started needle felting not long ago... hope it's ok for me to add a few more information! :)
    1) The diagonal opening of the needle must be facing the direction you're punching towards, no exception
    2) The yarn must be slack/loose so it doesn't cause uneven loops or pull out of the fabric as you're punch needling forward
    3) Make sure the yarn is suitable for that particular punch needle. You don't want to use skinny yarn with a big punch needle because the yarn will just pull out.

    I've just started looking into punch needle and all the other videos I've watched are like you need to make sure you pick the exact right size needle and the right yarn before starting and it stresses me out that I'm going to mess up before even starting. I love that your video was so encouraging and just like go for it and learn what works for you as you go! This has me really excited to get started with this new hobby so thank you!!! Also, your cushion designs are adorable!

    Hi, I just wanted to ask how to close the back if I am using a pre-stretched frame. Do I still need to use felt for backing?

    This may or may not be a dumb question, would it be possible to make a punch needle blanket?

    • @Pizzati
      @Pizzati  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very good question. Unfortunately i think it would just be heavy, a lot of work and not very rewarding. Im not entirely sure but i think youre better off just knitting one. Since you need to make one side of the blanket at a time youd have to glue the insides which would make it very stiff. If you didnt glue the insides youd have a stiff sort of duvet thing. So im going to say no i dont think its suitable for something as cozy as a blanket.

      are you doing a line then flipping it over to have a look? if so then dont, you have to keep going the more you punch the more your yarn fills up the area and fills the gaps, when i first started i would do a line then flip it over to have a look and get upset because theres gaps, if you finish your piece and hold it up to the sun and can see light shining through you can go over that area with some more yarn and it will fill in more
