This is one of my favorite books in the Bible because it's about friendship and loyalty. "Your God will be my God..." Ruth wasn't going to let her friend become a hermit widow. That's true friendship. Wish more people had friends like that.

The timing of God is perfect, not too many know that Boaz died immediately after the wedding but Ruth bore him a son, Obed, who became the father of Jesse, the father of King David. Boaz was 80 and Ruth was 40.
It's awesome that our Lord and Saviour is all through the OT! Most of the stories point to the coming of the Messiah. That would be the reason this book is in the Bible. Boaz is a distant relative to Mary, and just happens to be a redeemer of some sort and saves his family. He comforts and feeds them. The Bible is amazing! God Bless everyone!🙏❤️🙏

It’s not doing anything productive to think about something negative that was said about you, relive how that person walked away, rehearse all the pain and disappointment, go back over all the sorrow. That’s going to keep you from healing. Let it go. That’s in the past. God saw what happened. He heard what they said. He knows what you lost, what wasn’t fair. If you’ll let it go, He’ll make it up to you. He’ll give you beauty for the ashes.

I hope your council program figured out that Ruth was an Israelite, rather than a genetic Moabite. What about Rachab, do you think she was a Canaanite? What about Tamar and Bathsheba? A side note about Ophrah. The "kinsman nearer than I" could only afford to redeem the land but not Ruth. If Ophrah had returned with Naomi like Ruth did, then the land (inheritance) would have been split between Ophrah and Naomi. Then the "kinsman" would have been able to redeem Ophrah and her part of the land (inheritance) and Boaz would redeem Ruth and her part of the inheritance. In short, God had a plan and provision for both Ophrah and Ruth. If only Ophrah had returned with Naomi. Just trust in God.
My take on it..Noami weaken her mind..by not telling her to come and God will provide..she only saw her fragile strength...and Orpah was a weaker vessell...not knowing Noami land she turned back by Noami words. Ruth was stronger than Noami and Orpah..she made up her mind to die anywhere Noami goes.. This is how we think fleshly..not trusting God whole soul..i wonder did we make nature..to not trust God.. That's because God proves his people by his word. If you've come to the ridiculous conclusion that Rachab was a Canaanite or a whore, or that Ruth was a genetic Moabite, then you have stumbled. Badly. Anyone with even a surface knowledge of the Torah knows that it would have been unlawful for any Israelite to marry a genetic Moabite, and that their children would have been excluded from the congregation as well as excluded from the genealogical records. If Ruth had been a Moabite you would not see her name in any Israelite genealogy, especially not the Messiah's! It makes a mockery of God's laws, and presents him as either confused or a lying hypocrite. "A bastard (mamzer/half breed) shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD. An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:" Deut 23:2-3 The laws concerning the Kinsman redeemer were for raising up seed to Israel. If either Boaz or Ruth were non Israelites, or mamzers, it wouldn't apply to them, or their children.

I’m a mentor in a group “council program” (lack of a better term) we studied this story to help explain how important our reputations are.
And as we we’re going g through Ruth’s qualities it hit me very clearly that Ruth and Boaz have All the fruits of the spirit on full display and if I could be half as amazing as them I’d be doing alright

I hope your council program figured out that Ruth was an Israelite, rather than a genetic Moabite. What about Rachab, do you think she was a Canaanite? What about Tamar and Bathsheba?
To give you an example of what all these so-called “Bible experts” have little knowledge of, I will cite a case where nearly every bandstand would-be, adept on Scripture fumbles the ball. That is the story of Ruth. They will erroneously claim that Ruth was a “gentile Moabite” who became an ancestor of Yahshua Christ. Anyone who makes this declaration has little-to-no conception of what the Bible is saying.
This is not at all what the Bible teaches. Under the Joshua period, the Israelites killed and displaced the occupants of the entire land of Moab, and then reoccupied the land of Moab for themselves for 300 years. Please check the following scriptures: Num. 21:25, 29, 31; 33-35; Deut. 2:32-34; Deut. 3:12-16; 23:3; Judg. 11:12-26; Zeph. 2:9; Isa. 25:10. If at first you don’t understand the connection, reread these until you do understand. Ruth was merely an Israelite who dwelt in the land of Moab. Ruth was a Moabite only by geographic area rather than by genetics. Christ was of a pure bloodline all the way back to Adam. Rahab was also an Israelite.
Praise God allowing Ruth to meet Boaz. Her selfishness for Naomi allowed the Lord to give Ruth favor. Beautiful story. Thank you Lord. Amen 🙏🏽

A side note about Ophrah. The "kinsman nearer than I" could only afford to redeem the land but not Ruth. If Ophrah had returned with Naomi like Ruth did, then the land (inheritance) would have been split between Ophrah and Naomi. Then the "kinsman" would have been able to redeem Ophrah and her part of the land (inheritance) and Boaz would redeem Ruth and her part of the inheritance. In short, God had a plan and provision for both Ophrah and Ruth. If only Ophrah had returned with Naomi. Just trust in God.

My take on it..Noami weaken her mind..by not telling her to come and God will provide..she only saw her fragile strength...and Orpah was a weaker vessell...not knowing Noami land she turned back by Noami words.
Ruth was stronger than Noami and Orpah..she made up her mind to die anywhere Noami goes..
This is how we think fleshly..not trusting God whole soul..i wonder did we make nature..to not trust God..

That's because God proves his people by his word. If you've come to the ridiculous conclusion that Rachab was a Canaanite or a whore, or that Ruth was a genetic Moabite, then you have stumbled. Badly. Anyone with even a surface knowledge of the Torah knows that it would have been unlawful for any Israelite to marry a genetic Moabite, and that their children would have been excluded from the congregation as well as excluded from the genealogical records. If Ruth had been a Moabite you would not see her name in any Israelite genealogy, especially not the Messiah's!
It makes a mockery of God's laws, and presents him as either confused or a lying hypocrite.
"A bastard (mamzer/half breed) shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

The laws concerning the Kinsman redeemer were for raising up seed to Israel. If either Boaz or Ruth were non Israelites, or mamzers, it wouldn't apply to them, or their children.

Back in the big movie era of The Ten Commandments and Ben Hur, there was an overlooked film The Story of Ruth. I loved it as the directors made choice to draw the distinct connections from Ruth and Boaz through to Christ.
I love it how ABBA brings into a line from which HIS SON will come from, people that are in grosse with sin, prostitution, pagan worship, inbreeding ect, I believe this is saying HE CAN SAVE ANYONE, that will turn from their sin and SEEK HIM IN HIS WORD.
