- I Invited Myself Into a Bali House on the day before Galungan, called . Actually I explored more than 1 houses. This video was filmed totally spontaneous. While I was driving around Ubud Area with my motorcycle, I saw a Barong Dance, performed by Balinese kids. With those barong dances the Bali people usually collect some money from the viewers and with that money they can finance the Galungan ceremony, which takes place the following day.
Galungan is the most important day in Bali, Indonesia. The day before Galungan is called Penampahan: Pigs and chickens are blessed killed for making food for Galungan like lawar, a kind of spicy salad and sate (satay).
Ok, back to the video: After the Barong Dance I spontaneously explored some little alleys / gangs on the other side of the street and I was able to see some Balinese housings in that beautiful neigbourhood. People still made some last preparations for Galungan and I asked some questions. One man even showed me his music room for jamming with electric guitars or a drumset. He runs a glass business as well and he explained me a lot about the process.

Watching this video makes me missing this Island, I used to live there in Denpasar, and went there for a visit several times, there are many more fascinating islands in Indonesia but Bali always gets my interests to come back, because the culture, spiritual life, the people, and the view become unite in this place which is so damn beautiful to live in.
I agree with you, Lea! For living Bali is by far the best place for me. But to be fair I haven't explored that much of Indonesia. Only Bali and East and Central Jawa...Let's see if I find a better place for living in Indonesia. But I also don't wanna settle down now. So keep on traveling hehe. atmosphere, friends, even im Indonesian i feel the hospitality, and also architecture, i live in gianyar near i wayan dipta stadium, in 2021 i work for stadium renovation, and dont forget to try nasi jinggo also if you visit the stadium, there is warung i used to eat called Warung "Pak Petruk", at side of stadium near the parking lot

Ya I realized that while being in Jawa I mostly explored the big cities. Good for content and kuliner, but tbh I felt bored many times. So I really have to explore the beauty of Jawa's nature more. Jogja nature area first and then heading to Solo and Semarang. Pulau Karimunjawa if the weather will be good as well. After that Bandung and Jakarta and West Jawa. Around the end of February there will be 100 Vlogs from Indonesia on my channel I guess. 100 🤯🤣😍🇮🇩
