- For the first time of my life I was sleeping in a Capsule Hotel in Indonesia (Surabaya, East Java). The pods were more spacious than expected and they had 3 different room types available: SINGLE BED, DOUBLE BED and COMFORT ROOM with a massive hub and own shower. I chose the smallest single bed capsule for the most authentic experience in a capsule hotel and giving you an honest review about small capsule hotels.

When I was younger I was not that extroverted and as a kid I was super shy. So it's learning by doing, and it doesn't take a long time if you're open minded, trust me =)

But there are many cheap hotels in Surabaya, you even can sleep in a nice red doorz for 7 bucks...
Business hotels are also cheap.. Some 13 to 15 bucks or so...

slamet capsule hotels in Jakarta are very different from those in Surabaya if you try a capsule hotel in Jakarta they put their business in a mall😂 that's very unique huh and the toilets are separated in the room well that's very inconvenient when you do business you there 😂👍but the good thing is there you eat or do something, just go out and you shop 😂👍
Or you sit on your toilet while eating wkwkwkw 😬 I really wanna check out those capsule hotels as well in JKT. And there are some airport capsule hotels...just not sure if I can get into there without having a flight

in indonesia you can get very cheap with good size room, in surabaya you will find hotel about $35/night
the more I spend for a hotel room, the less money I have for food haha

My second guess, your name is another German name that also difficult for Indonesians to pronounce. Haha.
Carlos is my nickname and while traveling in Philippines, some local kid gave me the name Carlos cause my real German name was pretty hard to pronounce for Filipinos. And I liked the name Carlos and everyone in the world is familiar with this name. So I kept this name hehe

Haha actually it's way more expensive than in Indonesia. But supermarkets are cheap. For example chocolate and candies are cheaper I would say. And A LOT tastier than in Indonesia. And so much choice in German supermarkets...A paradise for unhealthy things with sugar 🤪

Actually I do like it. It's a simple little place to sleep for 1-2 nights. I would maybe even prefer those little cabins to some 'normal' hotels with the same price range. Just my sensitivity made it hard to get some good rest in this capsule hotel Diah
