No transit bus should make a new route to connect to Staten Island or MTA should make a new route to NJ: Newark, Elizabeth, Bridgewater and Hackensack
NJ Transit does have several lines that run there from those locations

@@ekop1778 Why not revamp the old ones that they purchased (R211 trains) that had malfunctioned and a faulty gearbox and were removed? These trains were equipped with security cameras, priority disability seating, and wider aisles and doors. The federal government invested $2.8 billion to purchase 1,175 rail cars to replace decades-old R46 cars.

@@slapshot68 if we get world class infrastructure I’m all for it and I think congestion pricing will cover most of it. Plus it also has federal funds.

The traffic flow is wrong, for both passengers and buses. When buses coming in from NJ they are cueing up on the ramp can't drop people off until the buses in front of them unload all the people and move out. I'm saying if you have 1 person slow of getting off the bus that one person is delaying 10+ buses which is about 200-500 passengers. Where they're dropping people off is an awful place. It's a 3ft wide side walk dark, disgusting's, full off pigeon shits, exposed to weather 3rd floor bus ramp and you have to open small doors with narrow, steep stairways and going in bus terminal through different areas every time. I was pregnant and still need to work in the city. Going through bus terminal makes me feel unsafe. The bus number and gate design is also horrible. It's counterintuitive, as a commuter I have 3 bus options to come home, you have to remember all numbers by heart (bus 159 gate 203, bus 154 gate 205, bus 156 for gate 305, etc. AND where is the mysterious ZONE MAP? Why isn't it display? ), it's not shown clearly in the terminal AND it's hard to jump between different gates if you realized the bus just left and want to go for the next one (for me this is the biggest reason it needs renovation!). The gate is like isolated island you go up through ONEDIRECTION ESCALTOR, meaning, you're stuck at the "gate island" and hard to move to a different area unless you risk your life walk against the escalator or open the island door walking through the forbidden dark buses zone to find your new gate island. And the gate changes from time to time, also change after 10pm everyday. Overall the design is really the worst I've seen in the world and super inefficient for people/worker to use as is.
Stupid waste of money. A gleaming new station as the city falls apart. At least it will be a good home to many people who have been priced out of life in the city and onto the streets. Everyone in charge should be deposed. Criminals.
