      ***** TRUE TRUE! Maybe some of people see just an another shooter game with ultra violence, but this game and whole story is ART and in my opinion it totally overcome some expensive games made by big companies. Series of these games HM and HM : Wrong Number are legends for me...

    • @patrickm4281
      @patrickm4281 9 ปีที่แล้ว +68

      Ryan Parker all great artists and people have some kind of flaw. games like Hotline Miami had emotion put into the game. from working in it and the game itself tattoos your brain with it. never had i (in a game) ever felt something relateable. hell, even MOON and Jasper Byrne themselves are going through it too.
      Albert Einstein himself had Aspergers, he had so much trouble in school. you would call him a highschool dropout because he actually dropped out as his relationship with teachers and students was so bitter.
      this is the reason that art is so fucking shit these days and without emotion, its no use. Justin Bieber and that bullshit, thats for fucking money. art is for the real artists.
      even Andy Warhol, one of the most detached artist of all time and Stanley Kubrick (the most overly attached movie director of all time) had aspergers and both had some kind of depression. artists have some kind of thing in them which makes them excel at one thing.
      and that is why art like Hotline Miami was made in the first place

    • @-AceItX-
      @-AceItX- 9 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Patrick M oh shit,your right. The answer of what makes this game good is that the developer had emotional problems going to through it. Your right about art,and apparently, this game shows it by the way you play it,feel it and show it. Idk how to explain it,but I for sure know what you mean man

      TheBandios Nutsy Butt Well i wrote that the tracks are "just for myself" on purpose because i... well it's weird but i don't really like most of my tracks. I mean i love them but when it comes to showing it to others i always think that my own tracks kinda suck and i'm very critical so yeah i'm hesitant most of the time but... well here you go, it's my latest Hotline Miami inspired track and it's called "Call me when it's done". It's not like one of the soundtracks that make your blood pump like the ones in main Hotline Miami levels, this one is more of an homage to the tracks that play in between the gameplay segments and to some of the trailer soundtracks (Like in the segments where you're at home getting your calls and during dialogue scenes and such.)
      [EDIT] I see this track as kind of my own "interpretation" of what the game made me feel sometimes if that makes any sense at all.
      Enjoy! (i hope)

I'm a dépressive person, with paranoia and schyzophrenia diagnosed, and this game didnt help me at all. but it was a truly butifull experience, I ve never played a game with this much soul, it s amazing. since then, every time I hear the menu ost from HM2, I cry. everytime I see the end of HM2, I cry. everything in both of these games is perfect

      The part where he says its spiritual and can't be analyzed. I think that is like, you know those personality types, intuitive vs analytical. Its like that, just gotta immerse yourself and know what fits in the context. So, it is analyzable, but only if the analysis is self-aware of its flaws. Its like trying to describe color to a blind guy he would think, you can explain all the science you like, but if you don't explain it in a way for them to get it its worthless. You have to say its like the sensation of touch, as if wind is projected from objects towards your eyes from the sunlight, that warmth on your back from the sun, your eyes can touch it from a distance, just don't look into the sun ok lol. Like if they can understand echo-location from fans or the wind, they can understand how it is to see. Corporate types, no creativity, do stuff based on what their boss says etc. Yeah, it wouldn't work out for them even if they had this level of analysis, because what you need is a group of people on the same page, or the vision won't turn out the same. I think thats the success, and what he means by spiritual is level of immersion. He said he emulated the characters in the story, thats what it is, immersion. Then you can know what feels off, breaks suspension of disbelief, or immerses and engages you more.

    As an old man, born in '87, i can say that growing up with video games u lose interest as u grow older because you already experienced gameplays styles and can forsse much of the plot. Hotline Miami was the first game that was brand new in years and fell in love with. HM2 for me exceeded expectations especially with the hard mode which was insane but so good! For those who would want a HM film, I could see QT directing it, but for me, there’s one director who’s ideal for it: David Lynch. HM has the brutal violence and off kilter surrealism found in his films and shows, along with lots of subtle details and disturbing images that Lynch loves to use. Definitely my number one choice for directing a HM film.

    Pffft. Hotline Miami 2 was just fine. I liked both games on their own merits, and I'd throw down money for a preorder of a third game in a heartbeat. I feel like there's so much more to tell, and more characters hinted at in some of the "hidden" and bonus scenes that would and could warrant a third.

To many think... wrong number put a horrible plot and many were afraid of change in the game...but fuck, i absolutely love the plot and how it mixed with the first game, created many theories, the multi-character stories that all cross paths with eachother...sad to see that hotline miami 3 most likely wont be a thing. But I will support Dennaton all the way till the end. Ignorance is all over the internet, Hotline Miami and wrong number are pure bliss.
