I bought this and honestly it’s a game changer. It’s does what it’s intended to do but you can honestly build a cheaper system that does the same thing. I’d only get this if you don’t want to do the do it yourself aspect of an automatic irrigation system(in this case flood and drain system). I was lazy and bought this instead of making it myself.

Have you figured out an easy way to use that setup when it comes to replacing all the water completely? Do you use a water pump to pump it down your drain? Also, when it comes to filling it, what process do you use? If you have a video showing this post, the link and time in the video. Thanks

in theory, could I build something similar minus a bit of automation?
my thought is, like a 12 gallon tote this will pump water into a 5 gallon bucket, bucket is elevated on some pvc legs, hole drilled thru bottom, and same thing as air cube grommet + barbed T fitting, same half inch lines into each pot, I assume as I fill the initial 5 gallon all other buckets get filled along side it, so you'd set this on a timer for X amount of minutes it takes to fill, than you'll have a second pump in the initial 5 gallon bucket res that will be on a timer for after the feed is over to pump it out?
would that work just the same with just a bit of tinkerin with timers to get it properly emptied?
For sho just all the parts are put together for ya with the kit... but if your good with diy you for sho can

Nice been checking these out. Any real difference between the Active Grow and Flow pro. Had one a years ago . Looks pretty much the same except the color scheme. Tho it didn’t come with the expanding resivour
I would add a float valve to the fill pump to prevent floods if the electronic float gives up the ghost and fails to shut off the pump.
The local hydro store has been trying to sell me a similar setup for a couple yrs now. Are you going to go with bottles nutes for this, or are you going to run dry ammendments/organics? Good luck

Excellent video. And badass Mario pants. Question: I am very new to this stuff. I see that DWC systems use air pumps to oxygenate the root system. Growace argues that the ebb and flow system provides enough oxygenation. Your thoughts?
The roots are oxygenated when the water drains from the buckets
