Brilliant fix - thank you. Got all mine going almost within 5 minutes using only 2 discs across 4 sky mini's.

Amazing. I've been titting around for an hour trying to sort it.
After watching this all my boxes were connected and working inside 5 minutes.
    Thanks

Hi sorry for numpty question so plugging the disc directly to main box and this creates a sky connection once I search for connections ?

This is very good but I’m struggling to get one box connect which is around 10m away from any box. Do you have any suggestions for that??

Hiya, could u please clarify in more detail how u got the sky q box not find the bt router, did u have to change any settings in the sky q box?

Will this work if I connect by ethernet from router to hub as you suggest, then via a switch to the main Q box? By connecting to the switch, would I lose d/l speed coming from the disc rather than the router? I can`t try it out yet as I don`t get back onshore for another 8 days. Cheers mate.

It’s the only way to use Q. Sod trying to use it over Wi-Fi. You have to hardwire the main. I’ve had soooooo many issues with it via Wi-Fi. The discs are brilliant! I have BT complete Wi-Fi discs which work exactly the same way!

This way is a mix of hard wired and wi-fi and works brilliantly!

@@Griffomedia yeah I have completely turned off the sky Wi-Fi and I’ve hard wired every box in to the BT Wi-Fi discs. Works flawlessly

Hi, when setting up the main box with the Ethernet port to the disk, during setup, do I tell the main box that I’m connecting via Ethernet?

Great guide, many thanks, One question, it was clear that the main Q box was hard wired to the disc, could you please confirm if all of the mini Q boxes are hard wired to their respective discs?

Do the disks work through power line adaptors?

I'm confused how plugging in the main hub to the BT disc via Ethernet makes it think it's on a Sky network. Can anyone explain? Also - can there still be a role for a Sky booster in the daisy chain if the Sky Q box and mini boxes thins it's on a Sky network? TIA

Help. I followed this through many times except I can only get it 50%working. I connected the SKY box to the BT disc and it sees that as the network all ok. I connected my TV upstairs to a sky mini q plugged into a sky disc by internet cable and it sees the sky network ID. The sky tv channels work but not apps and I can see the recordings but not play them? Any ideas please

Same as if you would connect the main q box to the BT hub via ethernet switch and the mini to another small switch from the main ethernet switch to multiple devices in my son's bedroom he has connected his Xbox series X, pc, q mini box, TV and ps5 and on our main ethernet switch we have the living room TV, laptop, main q box, hive active heating, printer and ethernet cable to second ethernet switch we get full speed 1gbps to all devices when we run speed tests and all ethernet cables are cat 5e 1000mbps capable

I want to use Sky Q with Kcom Lightstream. They use a mesh system too.
