I refuse to buy any movie if they censor it. So if I hear that Disney releases a censored version of the French Connection on 4k I will not buy it. I hope others feel the same. Film should never be censored.
How does the N word help move the story along, or, enhance the movie in any way…? French Connection is a 50-year old flick, at this point…I think we all know by now that the character Doyle is prejudiced, so do we really need the N word thrown in our face to remind us what we already know?
All classic movies and TV shows will be censored on streaming services, That's why i rather buy the physical copy of my favorite TV shows, Films. Regardless of it's on DVD, Blu Ray or 4K. Buy them while they are still up for sale because they'll be gone and you'll be left with missing episodes, Censored etc on streaming

I have the Blu of French Connection. If it comes to 4K I will wait for reviews to confirm it is not censored. We have to be careful now that Shout broke that ceiling censoring Riddick. I got my shipping notice for Kickboxer. Talk of the Town I have on pre-order but Amazon says I will not get until Thursday.

Juices flowing is the Panic Room 4K Steelbook. It is going to look excellent on my LG OLED TV. Riddick 4K is edited. I am still going to pick it up. Inside Man is running on the Bounce Channel a couple times this month. It is a pretty good film.
Out of the new announcements that were in this video I think will be getting Daybreakers. I used to attend the Toronto International Film Festival up until 2012 and that was the first year that the people's choice award was handed out for that program. Although Daybreakers wasn't the winner it was good enough to satisfy the crowd and make it runner up just behind the Australian horror film The Loved Ones which is one of my true guilty pleasures. The Spierig brothers went on to direct another great little indie film in 2014 after Daybreakers called Predestination both staring Ethan Hawke which was at Toronto After Dark that October...

I'm definitely excited for Inside Man. My third favorite Spike Lee film behind Do the Right Thing and Malcolm X. Twin Peaks is just a re-release. They're putting out season 3 and the full Z-A box set in cheaper packaging and at a cheaper price than the original releases. I loved Coneheads as a skit on SNL, but it just didn't work as a full movie. But as you say, nice to see things like that getting a release anyway. I already have the Shining in the Kubrick 4k 3 pack (one of the first 4k's I bought), but I can't resist a good steelbook. I hope Walmart does a Full Metal Jacket steelbook re-release too.

That cover for ‘Panic Room’ was definitely not used on the DVD release. The DVD release was a plain grey cover with ‘Panic Room’ in red. But the move of giving us just the steelbook and no slipcase 4K release appears to be the way Sony is moving. They’ll offer the movie on steelbook at a limited run and when they’re out, that’s it. It’s not fair, but they’ve already done this for a few titles so I don’t expect them to change course anytime soon. The delays in release of various films in the result of one of the production factories closing down earlier this year. It’s resulted in a number of releases being delayed.

Sucks Demolition Man came out! I really wanted it. Arrow is dragging their feet and ignoring me at the moment. They haven't messaged me (via website) since Dec 4th saying to give them a couple days as they were going to escalate the issue to a superior. Still nothing. So not buying any Arrow at the moment. Not going to say what's really on my mind about them. LOL
In terms of French Connection the language used was very purposefully used to show that Hackman's character was this racist asshole. It was intentional and not something that was used lightly or without purpose. It was a show dont tell moment and it needed to be there to make a very specific point and emphasize it. Its ridiculous that they edited that out, Im actually kinda shocked they did that.
Hi Ken, most LotR fans are not interested in War/Rohirrim due to them adding in an unnamed girl boss as the main character and taking over the story. If they stuck with the source material that Tolkien wrote I think it would have done much better. Thanks for the report this week!
I think you should stream Venom 3 first Ken it got a lot of bad reviews I went to go see it and I know why. I didn't like it either maybe you will but if you didn't like the second one you might not like the 3rd one

Bc if the price tag is over 40 then just don't buy it & if more people stop paying those 40 bucks plus price tags. Then the studios will lower the price to more reasonable price tag. Hi Ken, most LotR fans are not interested in War/Rohirrim due to them adding in an unnamed girl boss as the main character and taking over the story. If they stuck with the source material that Tolkien wrote I think it would have done much better. Thanks for the report this week!

I think you should stream Venom 3 first Ken it got a lot of bad reviews I went to go see it and I know why. I didn't like it either maybe you will but if you didn't like the second one you might not like the 3rd one

Panic room 4k big skip & pass bc no regular 4k release bc I don't waste my money on steel books. And people need to stop bitching about the high price tag that steel books are now. Bc if the price tag is over 40 then just don't buy it & if more people stop paying those 40 bucks plus price tags. Then the studios will lower the price to more reasonable price tag. But as long as people keep paying those higher price tags for steel books the studios will keep those prices up. And conheads was one of the biggest box office bombs of 1993 & why are we getting inside man on 4k before we can get a bluray or a 4k release of one of Denzel Washington's underrated films 1991 Ricochet & and day one for general's daughter on 4k
Its a shame. I would buy alot of these movies on 4k but not when they're steelbooks only. I dont want that garbage.
