that's their composition style - They want to excite and then they don't want the listener to fall asleep at the end. So fast songs at the beginning and at the end. They usually have it like that at live shows too. Btw. I'm very curious about the reaction to the next album. It was originally going to be a decent album, but at the last minute before the release they changed some songs to honor 9/11 and to honor Eric's late mother. Which really disrupted the flow of that album and was very controversial among critics. The two original songs were then released as the Dawn Of Battle single. Maybe you might consider linking it togather winth the album or do reaction on its own.
Definetely a step down from "Triumph of steel" but still very strong🦾🦾 Looking forward to the next one! Btw I like your pace doing these album reactions of manowar. Keep it up!
I want to bring attention to the fact that the 3 are related, you die, you feel your spirit travelling through the realms and the start of power says "The power to die and live again"
only with the upcoming re-recording Sign Of the Hammer album. With the Re-recording album Battle Hymns (2010) they wanted the best possible sound quality with the help of modern technologies so it is recorded more traditional way one by one. But it's definitely worth a listen because the sound quality is phenomenal and has a different feeling from original 1982.
If you like Power (it is not possible not to like :D) I think you gonna like "Fight Until We Die" from following album. Btw, on "Warriors of the World" is one of the most original song from their discography. I will not tell you which one :) Damn, I really hope they will release next year full length album.
my suggestion is to follow this order to the end: 1. warriors of the world 2. dawn of battle EP 3. gods of war 4. thunder in the sky EP 5. lord of steel (retail version) 6. final battle EP 7. revenge of odysseus EP 8. laut und hart (single, it's in english) 9. covers (heaven and hell from black sabath, silent night - english/german)
Agree about the above order. Singles and EPs not included in their albums: Defender - Single 1983, Brothers of Metal - demo version 1986, Herz aus Stahl - Heart of Steel german version 1988, Courage - french version 1997, The Dawn of Battle - EP 2002, Silent Night - Single 2007, Mila Rodino live - 2007/8 (Bulgarian national Anthem), Thunder In the Sky - EP 2009, Heaven and Hell - Black Sabbath cover 2010, The Final Battle I - EP 2019, The Revenge of Odysseus (Highlights) - EP 2022, Laut Und Hart Stark Und Schnell - Single 2023. The must of these are: Defender, Brothers of Metal, The Dawn of Battle EP, Thunder In the Sky EP, The Final Battle I EP, The Revenge of Odysseus (Highlights) EP and Laut Und Hart Stark Und Schnell. Also before doing the rankings, for better decisions it is a must to hear at your own at least once: Battle Hymn 2011 rerecorded version, Kings of Metal 2014 rerecorded version, The Lord of Steel 2012 hammer edition, Into Glory Ride and Hail to England remixed/remastered imperial editions.
@@vladimirborisov6463 sorry but song Laut Und Hart Stark Und Schnell is lame and childish song. It certainlydoesn't belong in the must category. And Kings of Metal 2014? No way. There is nothing extraordinary about it. It is just slower, less energic kings of metal 88. Thunder in the Sky is definitely a must. It is like a stand out album. The Dawn of Battle has oficial videoclip to song I belive and is one of their most iconic songs from that era. The Revenge of Odysseus - there's really nothing to react to. It's all slow and sluggish to the point of being boring.
@@metalWarriorCZHearth of Steel Guitar instrumental from KoM 2014 is quite unique. Also the extended Blood of the Kings and the Hearth of Steel (acoustic intro) worth listening.
You can see how the instrumental and the solo are linked by just look at their names

"The Power" = Manowar's best song. Hail!!!
It is a glorious track!

Hell yeah🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪
I want to bring attention to the fact that the 3 are related, you die, you feel your spirit travelling through the realms and the start of power says "The power to die and live again"
btw they re-recorder older albums and do it all instruments together, not one by one as it's usually done
only with the upcoming re-recording Sign Of the Hammer album.

Note:
- I don't think "power" is a real word anymore...
In all seriousness, that is my favorite song off of this album.

@@vladimirborisov6463Ok Hearth of Steel is only exception.
Blood of the Kings in the comparation with the oroginal 88 is super boring.
