That real nice. solar weather does effect the bands world wide even weather systems can effect the bands. love how you use the record feature on the 7300 . I use that for POTA. Parka On the Air. I take my 7300 portable on LiFePO4 Battery works great. I have the DX commander Expedition portable one. is dark green . have the DC commander poles and DX 10 and DX 50 wire as well. The UK got a power boost from Off comm now. Callum is booming to the USA now with a KW. understand the electric . I am in NY,USA and it goes out a lot during storms. I get dry mouth when working lots of stations. the record feature really helps call CQ a lot. I keep water on hand all the time. take breaks to eat as well. The most important thing in Ham radio is your self. love how you show that. when my voice needs a break ,I go digital . like JS8 CALL of FT8 even use SSTV . that can be fun . even the ISS sends SSTV pic's . HAM radio is so many hobby's together . lots of fun. Hoping for some good 6 meters . I made some antenna's just for that band. my goal is to work all bands POTA . that HF/VHF/UHF . 73's

Hi Raisa, congrats on meeting your 1000 qso goal, well done and from the video it looks like you had to work hard for it 👍😀 I participated as well but had almost the opposite approach - 40m band, CW with 4Watts qrp and a simple end fed half wave wire. I got 100 QSOs. Different challenge but equally rewarding to get contacts from the Netherlands into the US 7500km away. Conditions were pretty good. You were excited about the LX contact. I was very happy with Madeira Island, out on the Atlantic ocean. Enjoy your hobby! 73/88 - Robert - PB7RS
@@YLRaisa CW is a nice mode. I did the training on the YT channel “The ham whisperer”. From there on it is pretty much practicing and slowly getting better at it. Takes some time but it’s fun.

да, я недавно это вновь на опыте ощутила, после сильной авроры с 23-24 апреля 2023. 25 выехала в эфир за город и буквально несколько связей..., прохождения практически отсутствовало.
The aurora sound was very interesting, I had never heard them before. I managed about 400 QSOs from a suburban end-fed low power, and was pretty exhausted. Running Classic, i used up most of the 24 hours allowed. Many don't like contests, but they really sharpen many operating and listening skills. Also a great way to get some elusive DXCC. Well done to you for reaching 1000+ QSOs, great achievement.
Thanks for the great comment and your thoughts. I agree that working in contest gives a good experience. Also, many wrote to me that they use contests to recruit DX :)
During the solar cycle of about 20 years ago I noticed an interesting phenomenon on the 27 mhz CB band: polar path flutter. This would occur after the sun had set for a few hours and the West Coast stations had faded away. Now that 27 mhz is in worldwide use it really never shuts down at night. Probably the strangest thing I've ever experienced is hearing my own echoes on 20 meters via "grayline" propagation. I was working a British station and we both had echoes. The echoes are caused by the signal following the grayline around the world and it takes 1/7 of a second. Multiple echoes equals multiple trips around the world!

да, я недавно это вновь на опыте ощутила, после сильной авроры с 23-24 апреля 2023. 25 выехала в эфир за город и буквально несколько связей..., прохождения практически отсутствовало.
The aurora sound was very interesting, I had never heard them before. I managed about 400 QSOs from a suburban end-fed low power, and was pretty exhausted. Running Classic, i used up most of the 24 hours allowed. Many don't like contests, but they really sharpen many operating and listening skills. Also a great way to get some elusive DXCC. Well done to you for reaching 1000+ QSOs, great achievement.
Thanks for the great comment and your thoughts. I agree that working in contest gives a good experience. Also, many wrote to me that they use contests to recruit DX :)
During the solar cycle of about 20 years ago I noticed an interesting phenomenon on the 27 mhz CB band: polar path flutter. This would occur after the sun had set for a few hours and the West Coast stations had faded away. Now that 27 mhz is in worldwide use it really never shuts down at night.
Probably the strangest thing I've ever experienced is hearing my own echoes on 20 meters via "grayline" propagation. I was working a British station and we both had echoes. The echoes are caused by the signal following the grayline around the world and it takes 1/7 of a second. Multiple echoes equals multiple trips around the world!
