    For two years now, God has been stirring my heart to one day make Aliyah - and I don't even know if I am Jewish 🌸🙈
    It is an attraction and longing from deep within my soul, that makes no sense in this world. - I am safe, I have everything I need, I am free to express myself... Yet I feel like my life here is getting emptier... Loosing it's meaning.. I can't imagine staying here and growing old- I need to come to Israel!
    I know it's too hot - too busy - and that the people are difficult - that there is very little stability and safety ..... But this is the country God appointed ! This is where Messiah will reign from.... I have to get there, somehow.. Some day ... ❤

    Its a paradoxical situation today because a lot of Jews from Israel, whose ancestors came from Europe, are immigrating back to those countries to have an EU-citizenship and passport. EU-countries like Germany, Poland, Hungary are home to some of the fastest growing Jewish expat communities. Israel also heavily lobbied the EU for membership but they fell short on the Human Rights Charters of the EU (just like Turkey), and although Germany supported Israel's EU application, countries like Norway and Sweden heavily opposed it.

As if their Aliyah is less significant or somehow different from the regular struggles everyone faces. Admit that you are less knowledgeable about their community to explain your bloody briefness or do not mention them at all as your silly quota! It's sad to have to be angry on Pesach, but this is outrageous. Chag Pesach Sameach, and Mazel Tov to all who made Aliyah!

    israel is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I lived there and the challenge was actually getting work and the cost of living. The cost of living is very high and the jobs are scarce. Unless you have a small business to earn income or rich family funding you, or married you can not live there. There is a huge percentage of poverty and religious people living on welfare to survive since it is overpriced. There is the security issues with the wars and then the religious extremist ob both jewish and islam side who preach their religions. You can not find a good job unless you speak hebrew fluently.
    I love israel and maybe can move back one day. I loved the beauty of israel and how open some people were. You do not find this in europe.

    The political system of entrenched rule in the occupied Palestinian territory which endows one racial-national-ethnic group with substantial rights, benefits and privileges while intentionally subjecting another group to live behind walls, checkpoints and under a permanent military rule. This satisfies the prevailing evidentiary standard for the existence of apartheid.

My husband has a highly skilled profession that is needed EVERYWHERE, and we cannot stay anywhere in the EU longer than a 3 month total (not just any one country but even country to country, NO more than 3 months total) OR get a job anywhere in the EU without a EU passport. They don't want to give their countries jobs to "outsiders" unless it is an international company that (eg.) is an American country that has branches worldwide. So Why would Israel operate any differently? I am sure if you have job lined up in Israel in advance from where you live in Greece, you can move there, but very few countries allow you to pick up and arrive there with no jobs, resources or connections in place!!!

    Can you claim to be rebuilding the ancient kingdom os Israel...and promote gay rights and secular values at the same time.?...can you be a democracy while people that live under your control cannot vote.....???
    .
    .In history how many of the worlds jews came from conversion???
    Can it be told who became jews by conversion and who did not ???
    if you convert does that make you indigenous to the holy land???
    If these questions cannot be clearly answered....it could be the case that people who have converted to a religious tradition in their past by becoming jews are claiming ....
    that God gave them the holy land ...even if they don't believe in God ....
    "We are democratic" even if only jews have a right of return .{.even if you've never lived there}.....!
    and we are Gods chosen people even if we break his commandments.
    UNTIL Israeli jews can tackle these questions I don't see how they will reach peace because reality cannot rest on myth forever

    • @davidschalit907
      @davidschalit907 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Alexander Ordinary
      3 reasons.
      First, like from anywhere, it's hard to leave from where you were raised.
      Second, in America, as well as Western Europe and Australia, one has, generally speaking, a pretty good life. It's hard to leave that.
      Thirdly, American Jews are assimilating, which includes a large percentage of intermarriage with non-Jews. That makes them feel less Jewish and eventually, not feel Jewish at all. In fact, if it's a Jewish man that intermarried, the children he has are not Jewish by normative Jewish law. Many of these children are counted as Jewish by the secular Jews and others that try to count how many Jews reside in the U.S.
      So, the further separated most American Jews get from their heritage, especially when they intermarry, makes it even less likely that they will make Aliyah, or if not considered Jewish, even be allowed to. Although, Israeli law is currently more liberal on who the state considers Jewish for immigration purposes. However, should someone that isn't born of a Jewish mother or has converted to Judaism still be allowed to migrate to Israel because he/she has a Jewish father, then that person will still not be accepted by traditional religious authorities in Israel as Jewish. Which becomes another reason not to want to make aliyah.

    • @beatnick92
      @beatnick92 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidschalit907 , If one converts in the orthodox tradition accepted by the strictest body of rabbis in Israel, (and America) he or she is welcomed into Israel as the true, genuine Jew, he is, whether or not this person has a Jewish mother or father even. The Law of Return applies, just as with any other Jew. Only 3 or 4 years ago did the number of Jews in Israel exceed the number in America so as for American Jews they have a comfortable existence in America. Of course they don't know what it's really like to have Shabbat truly fall on Shabbat nor the exhilarating advantage of living in a country where "church and state" are not separated, but united in the Jewish tradition, and so many other advantages like not having to order one 's meat from a kosher butcher hundreds of miles away should one happen to live in the south or even in the heartland, and shop carefully checking for the OU on everything. The list goes on...
      America was founded on freedom of religion, along with other freedoms so American Jews are not so persecuted as those in other countries ---we hope--- things are always changing on that score😞

      ... becasue of the ugly scenery in the opening part of the video? Israel, in many ways, is and looks like a developing nation and nothing like America or even what you'll find in most of Europe. Tel Aviv, while I love her, is one of the uglist cities I've ever seen. Jersalem on the other hand is lovely, for the most part! Go and spend time. You'll be amazed at how wonderful she is (not to mention prohibitively expensive)!!

    931BC The Ten Northern Tribes split from the Judah and Benjamin under the rule of Jeroboam 1 and the latter under Rehobboam Solomon's son. Israel (the 10 Northern tribes) through poor leadership of their kings, the people followed pagan gods and traditions which made God of Heaven very angry. So in 722 BC God allowed neighbouring countries to conquerer Israel. And pretty much the same happened in Judah with the exception of some faithful to God kings such as Asa and Josiah to name a few. So in 586 BC God allowed Babylon to destroy Judah. Then 70 years later some of the people returned.
    Then in 70AD Jerusalem was once again destroyed by the Romans.
    I hope the Jews of today remain faithful to the God of Heaven so that history doesn't repeat itself!

    I am from the tribe of Judah, and i can tell you strait forward who is the Messiah because i have spoke to him face to face while my spirit was in Heaven. The Messiah is Yeshua Jesus Christ. Oh Israel stop doubting Jesus has come before and he will soon come again. I have seen with my own two eyes that Yeshua is Lord.

      We have a completely differnt calander than you. You use gergorian and we dont. When referring to distant and current times we use the term common era (CE) for the last 2000 years and before the common ear (BCE) for occurrences before the CE. We use CE and BCE to make the gregorian calandar more accessable and acceptable to us becasue we are not christians, and like I said, have a differnt lunar calandar. In my mind using CE and BCE is the only way that I can make sense of historical time outside of the Jewish calandar. When I hear BC, I have to stop and think for a seond. We have no reference to Jesus in our religion so of course this would not be refelcted in the way we discuss or document time. To use BC would be to recognize Jesus, and that is just not Jewish becasue as you know, he means nothing to us at all. I hope you can undertand now why we mark secular time differntly than the rest of the world.
