I've watched this about 100 times since I discovered it yesterday, upset with myself that I've found this band about ten years too late, what a performance
What a phenomenal performance. I really love how when performing on Letterman, artists just seem so comfortable and natural, totally just into the music and art full on. Something about his show was just the perfect environment for music.
thanks so much for the HD! i love this performance, and that's the 1st time i've seen it in this quality. i wish the letterman show would put out some compilation dvds of the best band performances on the show.
@tonyvegas13 The source video looked in sync, but once I uploaded it to youtube it was a bit off and I just never bothered trying to offset it to compensate. Sorry about that.
when the inhouse tv band chokes, you know there's something spectacular going on there.......paul schafer sitting there with hands on his knees like doofus, all the other guys walking off, tv on the radio owns.
@mmmpockyy i dunno....turning water into liquor, having endless foodsupplies, magic tricks with diseases.......although i have to admit, "this guy", joe cocker, and jesus all have epic hands
I think it was just the mix used during the live performance. Dancing Choose on the album is brilliantly done, but the horns were way too loud live. The song has a myriad of subtle moments that got drowned out by a massive brass section. Bad decision with the horns.

and here i am 4 years after you. dude were so fortunate to have our technology. 50 yrs ago we wouldve just stayed out of the loop
@@dsclark818 that’s very true!
ditto
Be glad you even found them! I've had this feeling before, but now you're here, enjoying some awesome tunes.
The most underrated band of the world!
I love this performance so much. It's fascinating to see how much stage fright Gerard Smith had, and how he just faces the amp the entire time. RIP.

I wish I had more control of the video once it's uploaded, but I'm at the mercy of youtube.

Kyp Malone is a beast.

The black Zach Galifianakis is awesome!
@theone1991 because he has anxiety, he is afraid of big crowds. So he looks in a corner to keep his emotions in check

@TheAirEnElManana I don't know, the discovery of penicillin was pretty sweet
@megustacomosos Don't know if "great beand" means "beard" or "band," but I agree either way.
when the inhouse tv band chokes, you know there's something spectacular going on there.......paul schafer sitting there with hands on his knees like doofus, all the other guys walking off, tv on the radio owns.
LOL, nobody told Kyp Malone it was casual day.
If I was about to marry - this would be my first choice after Shibusashirazu, Ferus Mustafov and Gogolbordello. Best good surprise for a while!
Is rock finally BACK?
wow, there's a bunch of screachy noises at the end.
kype malone is the shit with his beard
What's with the bass guy? Is he not an official member of the band?
which one? Kip or the other dude?
@mmmpockyy i dunno....turning water into liquor, having endless foodsupplies, magic tricks with diseases.......although i have to admit, "this guy", joe cocker, and jesus all have epic hands
He's shy :
what's that guy doing in the corner? haha
Why always bassist back?
I think it was just the mix used during the live performance. Dancing Choose on the album is brilliantly done, but the horns were way too loud live. The song has a myriad of subtle moments that got drowned out by a massive brass section. Bad decision with the horns.
Why does the bassist hides?
Fuckin' A.
i need more of this electric explosive high energy sexed up animal desperate destructive music, any suggestions?
too bad the cd sounds nothing like this. this is the first time i've only liked a band live
Why the hell is Girard on the drums, and who the fuck is playing bass? They must have been going through some shit at this time.
@theone1991 Because is emo LOL
